Roads and bases

I was just watching the trailer for "Yeah Dude" by PBP, and once again I see skiers wreckin their base by just going over roads or down stairs. Even though they are sponsered and get their skis for free and stuff, it still makes me angry to skis just wasted liek that.

I've had my experience in workshops and done waxings and stuff and I really hate when people come in and their base is just ruined.

Any ideas?

some skis just dont ahve that life left. some feel like they'll snap in half after a few turns, or there is multiple edges missing, huge chunks out the base etc. they can't survive another run, only the rail, and dropin ramp

They don't use new skis alot. I rembember one ski movie there was a guy using some 70's skis for every urban section. It's not like they get tons of free skis every year, and waste them all.

well, for someone who isnt pro and who buys their own skis, and they choose to do that to their skis, why does it matter to you? they were the ones who payed for them, so they can decide what they want to do with them.

Once a ski is trashed it is useless on urbans . you cant get any speed from the inrun and they stick so much you cant even pop. The only skis you can use on urbans are really good condition ones. Urban skiing demands the highest condition of skis out there. Thats why armada make the pipe cleaner. I was told by THE armada rep guy that they only call them pipe cleaners so people will think they are for pipe only and wont buy them so they can keep them and give them to the pros to use on urbans. O and for the guy above who said that he saw a guy using old 70's skis, you were misslead they are were the new skis released by ninthward that look like 70's skis but actually sell for aroun $10,000USD.

wasted ? pft every ski gets to do turns in powder, and they all secretly dream of getting stairfucked by simon dumont.

i skier slid the down bar guys thats it its done!
