On Presidents day weekend me and a few friends are looking to go on a road trip to a different resort than ours. We ski at Perfect North Slopes in Indiana, We have been to mostly all the resorts around me like in Ohio and Indiana. We are looking to venture out and road trip to a different resort, In the general area of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Michigan, Wisconsin, and others that you suggest. We are looking for good parks and maybe some real skiing. We would like places that have the following.... Cheap (if possible), 10 hours MAX, good night life, short lift lines (going to be hard to find since its Pres day weekend), and fun in general. I have been searching google and I have looked at Big Boulder, 7 Springs, and Snowshoe but i would like to hear some of your opinions. Any help would result in K+.
Thanks,JakeC

boulder is sick but i wouldnt travel from where youre at just to go there...its small, and although its real fun i definitely dont suggest it for that long of a trip, plus, there is nothing to do around boulder

Ski Roundtop- most definetly- right off the interstate-30 min into pa from md so not a shit ton of driving- best park in years this year- and they just opened a new bar-
basically you need to come here

this was before we built new jump line and did a reset-

seven springs. boulder and camelback. wisp if you want to check out wallisch's home mountain.

i think it would be worth coming down close to DC to hit up roundtop and liberty..

Your best bet would be Pennsylvania and West Virginia. There are some okay spots in Wisco, but nothing for "real skiing" and the parks aren't quite as good as PNS. There is some good "real skiing" at Mt. Bohemia in the UP of Michigan, but I'm pretty sure that would be farther than 10 hours. Like I said, your best option for real skiing and better parks would be to head east.

Tyrol basin near Madison for Wisconsin also cascade which is a littl bit further near the wisconsin dells. Marquette mountain if your willingto take a drive all the way up to he UP.

Bear Creek PA, sweet park, we have bmx style jumps up right now, so that is different from other mountains. Check out BCironworks.com

Bittersweet in Otsego Michigan has a really good park right now, prolly the best in the lower Penn. lots of rails set up, 4 jumps... a 15 Foot table, a 20ft step over, a 35 foot step down and a solid 40+ step down... parks legit, Timber Ridge isn't too bad either

In Wisconsin, Tyrol Basin near Madison Wisconsin. and Trollhaugen in Dresser, Wisconsin near the border of Minnesota and Wisconsin. I would also check out Cascade

I guess if you want to come to Wisconsin, definitely hit up Tyrol Basin, Cascade (lots of dank rails, lacking in the jumps), and Granite Peak. Tyrol and Cascade are both around the Madison area with Granite Peak 2 hours north of Madison. Madison is 8 hours from PNS without lots of stopping and a little bit of speeding from what I recall from going to PFC.

Big Boulder 7Springs, and Roundtop have a park as good as if not better than PNS.

7 Springs, Snowshoe, Wisp (if you are only spending a day there), and Timberline has good trails and snow and supposedly have a park again this year

They were up there last weekend for the big air. Although the big air jump is still open to the public if that is any incentive.

I would probably warn against Marquette, MI. Pres day weekend is collegiate regionals. (USCSA)

It will probably be pretty packed, but should also be a guaranteed fun time. I'll be there.

Alpine Valley in Wisconsin, Tyrol Basin in Wisconsin, Casacade Mountain in Wisconsin, Troll Resort in Wisconsin, Marquette Mountain in Michigan, Mt. Bohemia in Michigan, Hyland Hills in Minnesota, Spirit Mountain in Minnestoa

Go to seven springs don't bother going anywhere else but big boulder.... Still springs will be alot closer. And springs has stuff to do off the mountain as well as an actual jumpline
