I saw a little news flash on tv that the road to whistler got washed out. I could be mistaken, i am damn stoned. fucking bubble hash, i love you. anyway hope they get it fixed before the season

Last Week I went to Outdoor school Camp with my grade.My teacher was in a Field talking to his Girlfriend at 11:30 pm, my friend and I were suspicious so we flashed a flaslight in the eyes of my teacher and they were closed. We Burst out laughing I said'His having phone sex'. So the Next Day I went around and told EVERYONE in my grade what happened last night. I said to them 'on the count of 3 we'll say MR. yeah the roads are all washed out and they're saying 3-4 days till they'll open again. and all I want is to go home! (stupid floods!)

 
well its also because there was a record amount of rain the past two weeks. The water resovoirs were at 30% or so at the end of September (never in history below 50%) and it like 2 weeks they are full. That is an insane amount of water.

I feel bad for people who don't drink, cause when they wake up in the morning, thats the best the're going to feel all day
 
it would be sweet, i know i would fucking walk my ass from bellingham with all my skis, as soon as i get to vancouver i would pick up an oz of sticky tricky bud, and a gallon of jager, then make my way and localize myself till the road gets fixed. Bad side is eventually all the alcohol and weed will dry up in the village and new shipments wouldn't be able to get up, then again there are air drops

it rained like 16+ inches in some parts of wahsington before that shit headed up to bc. no raods washed out here for some reason. must be fun being stranded, or forced to not go

yeah sorry guys, 5km of the highway got washed out and they said its gonna take about 7 months to fix, so dont bother trying to come up here this winter. You'll end up in a shifty motel in squamish with six pack of lucky and a toothless cracked out hooker in bed with you.

I just checked the highway board, you can get to whistler from vancouver(doesn't look fun at all) you just can't get to pemberton north of whistler. so if you live in pemberton and have a job in whistler your screwed. I hope everything gets fixed quickly.

^^usually an inch of rain is equal to 8-14 inches of snow depeneding on how dry the snow is and the crystal formations (and clumping), so yeah, that would have been a shit load of snow.

Sucks though that the road washed out, Sea to Sky is basically the only way into Whistler right? I know they are doing a lot of construction on the road cause of the Olympics, but wouldn't you think they would try to get a 2nd road open too (seeing as there have been so many problems in general)?

 
A second road.....yeah. Blasing and carving through solid rock to add a few extra lanes is hard enough on a busy highway, let alone attempting to create a new road all together? Not happening dude.

 
yeah...all this rain would be nice if it was snow at the top...but the freezing level is throught the roof at 3500m. Thats a km above the top of blackcomb peak. Rain to the top. But anyways dont any of you bother coming up this winter cuz you wont get here...the highway is fully fucked till april so dont bother

OK...dude, a bridge north of Whistler is GONE!!! You cannot access Whistler from Duffy lake road. The train tressels are also washed out. As well, a portion of the road between Squamish and Whistler are also washed out and people are stranded in Squamish right now. Unless you own a helicopter you have fuck all chance of getting into Whistler for the next few days.

It seems that we are going to be airlifting in key staff from Pemberton to get to work this week. I shit you not. There was an airlift of food into Pemby this morning as well.
