Getting into the biking world seems like a daunting proposition. I was wondering if anyone that knows road bikes could point me in the right direction with companies, or information to help me get bike.

road biking is kinda boring.
if you want to get a good ride/workout just get a xc bike and ride trails
personally i like all mountain.. little more adrenaline involved

check out this site, I'd just join up and give them the basics of your height, weight, where you ride, price range, etc, and see what they can tell you,
