Riverboarding.

so my friends and i river board, and i am wondering if anyone even knows what it is? or do it? don't bother looking on youtube because that stuff is no where close. anyways we're making a video, it'll be pretty rad.

is that when u go down a river with like rapids and shit in a boogy board iv seen vids of that but otehr than that i have no idea what it is lol.....post up the vid when ur done

basically when my friend was telling me about it, i had no fucking clue how it worked. but its pretty cool how it works. i suck at it because it's hard as fuck to get up, but hes pretty good. we went today and i got some filming in.
i'll post a vid in a little haha, let that suspense build up.

we do this thing that we call skurfing where you tie a rope to the bridge about mid way across the river then you get a board we use a triangular piece of wood then surf the river as you hold on to the rope...its dope! skurfing ftw

this is basically it, but the hook system is pretty lame, so we have a wakeboard rope and you hold on to that and float down and put the board on your feet while you're floating.this is the idea though

yeah, i feel like you have like 5 seconds to do stuff, and it would be really annoying to swim in all the way and wait and pull it out again

that looks sick

i feel like it would be sicker if you did it on a regular wakeskate instead of the skimboard style thing

or maybe did it on a river with some rapids so you could do really big airs

we just had a massive storm in MA crazy flooding and all i could think about when i saw these 4inch rivers flowing down the street was throwing a skim board down and riding down a hill. I never did though cause it was hailing as well. Kinda upset i didnt at least try it

my friend told me about doing that with water skis way back in the day, like tying a handle to a tree and riding the current

yeah i wanna try skis hah. people have seen the little place we go, we were thinking of making a rail with cement on the bottom and dropping it in the middle

i just typed this in a pm and i'm copy and pasting here>

well you need a riverboard, a riverboarding bungee, and a river. we do ours in a man made little ditch so its deep, perfect width, and such. you need something to tie the cord too and basically thats it. then you jump in and hold the cord. the current moves you down stream and at the same time it stretches out the bungee. while moving down stream you have to put the board on your feet and the current will push the board against your legs so it will stay there. you hold on in a "wakeboard position" until the bungee is fully extended. idk if you have wake boarded before, but you sit in the water with your chest facing up and your head looking forward. once it is fully stretched you move your legs at an angle where the board will be able to surface. so at a slight slant. without the full current pushing against the bottom, the cord and contract and it pulls you out of the water. it then flings you forward. the board is just like a skimboard so its like that. then you let go of the cord and cruissssee.

word
my dad said he and his friends used to do that in highschool on the ninth street bridge or something
yeah boise!!!
