just curious about this stuff, i know some kids use it to customize crowbars, but i have one black outrigger and one oakley text so i dunno if it'll work the same as just plain white.

It's a fabric dye that you can use to dye plastics. Lacrosse players do it a lot to dye their heads. You have to dye over a lighter color though. For example, you can dye anything over white, but you cant dye something red, white. But you can dye something yellow, blue, but if you don't do it right you can get like a green color.

yeah dude im going to buy some to dye my head, if you tape of certain sections and work from lightest to darkest, you can make some ill designs

i dyed some white outriggers blue and it turned our pretty good.

NO you cant dye black things white, that makes no sense

Used it all the time on lacrosse heads. Basically u can make light things dark. Dont try to go from black to white, you'll get a off grey. What u do is boil water in a old pot, dumb the dye in, mix it and then throw the plastic in. The water needs to heat the plastic to make it dye right. Also u can do fades by leaving a part of the piece in for longer. When i did it 15 was like a solid time for it to fully sink in but it really depends on the plastic. so just play with it.

Also i don't recommend tape it never looks that good. I used hot glue which gave me the ability to make super sick patterns and stuff. Its also go to experiment with multiple colors. just start with the lightest color dye that then cover up what u want and dye the rest.

Have fun

yeah, it works perfectly on white lacrosse heads

i'd only use it on light colored goggle parts though

sorry, i forgot to mention hot glue, tape can work too though, if done properly, ive seen some ill heads dyed with tape

well im sick of having one oakley text and one black outrigger, and i dont really want 2 black outriggers, and i obviously know black wont turn to white, but what do you guys think i should do, i have a red frame and tan strap

I agree with the spray paint.

Or find a three year old girl, give her a bunch of nail polish, tell her to have fun, then coat it with a varnish.

there are a ton of different varnishes out there. I don't do fine art so im not sure on the specific one that would work best. But if you go to a legit art store and show them what you are working with, they should be able to tell you what to put on it to make it last.

Umm theres nothing you can really do cause its black. I mean you could spray paint or varnish but in my opinion it doesnt look as good as dye. A good dye job will look like it came straight from oakely. But how did you end up with those two out riggers to begin with? My suggestion would be to trade someone. theres a oakely trading cult and then u could get two light ones and dye whatever color you want. Personally though I think two black ones would look good with a red frame and a tan strap.
