Riser plates

if you jump with any frequency, your risers will start to crack. the less you have between your skis and your boots the better.

risers r for racers so the can get more edge...so if u race get them but if u dont then u shouldnt get them

risers are really unnecessary unless you arent gettin enough edge angulation, thats what theyre for. ive never heard of risers crackin from jumping, and ive always had at least one pair of skis with risers.but dont bother for park skis.

good reason. but seriously because i got them mounted today and i didnt know whether to have them mounted with or without the risers and so they mounted them with and i dont know if you can take them off or if they'll be that bad

They will be fine. I used the risers on my madens and pes but not my fujis. I personaly like being a little higher on the ski, but I really dont even notice them. oh and ive never heard of one cracking.

racers use risers for more leverage of the edge. this makes it easier to catch an edge if your spinning or buttering around on the snow. without risers your ski can hit the snow at a slight angle and still be fine. with risers if your ski hits the snow at an angle, it will have more force and catch, throwing your ass to the ground

it has been said that its easy for balance on rails without riser plates. I personally don't have them on my park skis because I hit so many rails my edges are so dull when it wouldn't make a difference when I'm carving or not.

It also doesn't make any sense on pow skis because you don't use edges in powder. I suppose on all mountain skis they would help, but I don't have them. My pistols seem to work just fine without them.
