Ripping Songs off DVDs?

Is there anyway to rip songs off DVDs and put them on your computer. First, is it even possible and secondly if it is possible do I need some special software? Any help would be apreciated, Thanks.

yeah its possible...i dunno how...but i can only find cky songs ripped from the movies and its all got the skatin in it which sucks
