I go into the cults once in a while. and I recently passed my snowboard instructor course! yeahh!
 
thank you. I have infinitely more respect for snowboard instructors now after teaching a few boarding lessons haha =)
 
IT can be a lot of fun, but you have to but up with a lot of bullshit.

What turned me off was getting too many lessons where people didn't want to learn. Shit isn't daycare. Also was right when everyone was switching to snowboarding because it was cool.

That said some of the least skilled people starting out were some of the best lessons I had. Especially the people that keep coming back, and you get to watch them go from, can't stand up on the thing, to making solid s turns down blues.

I still dig it, and teach people throughout the year, but I don't think I could ever be an instructor again
 
yeah,I still lo select ve teaching, and I had toput up with some pretty dumb kids haha, but most of them were cool. there were a few kids that made all the cons of the job (low wage, few hours, rainy days, teaching "that kid"... or 9 of "that kid") I taught skiing for a season and a half s before getting my casi level one. worthwhile.this post is messed up. sorry
 
would've liked to get a few more seasons in but probably would've ended up hating it eventually. maybe i'll go back to it if i get married to a guy with a full time job.
