Rip to my local

This is what every mountain should do, at least in the West. The only way to have a better experience is to cut out the people who buy these multi-resort passes, they are causing the crowding and traffic issues.

There are already rumors of Alta not partnering with the Ikon pass next year, Sun Valley/Snowbasin also announced they are not partnering with Epic next year.

The dominos are falling.

idk man I feel like selling fewer total passes will improve the experience more than charging 1700 for a season pass. Crystal isn't really a destination resort that gets mad tourists so the only people left to ski are the ones who can afford to fork that over.

They want to increase the guest experience, plenty of places have $1000-2000 passes (big sky, jackson, alta, snowbird) and the IKON pass made those accessible for half the price, thats why its been so crowded. I would most definitely pay more for a season pass if it meant at least a 20-30% decrease in pass sales.

Skiers need to make up their damn minds. It's either too expensive that only the wealthy can do it or it's too cheap and that's why the ski areas are too crowded.

as much as I dislike paying more, in this case it would be worth it. If Snowbird and Alta both got off of the Ikon pass, I'd pay 2k a year for that experience easy. No liftlines, pow all day, mostly locals. It would be ridiculous. I just feel for the college students who wouldn't be able to afford it because they're really the heart of skiing and partying that I can't be as I get older and realize I need to eat healther and not drink tons.

College students get a discount through ski clubs, I never paid more than like $500 for a pass in college, probably similar to that still but inflation.

It’s actually cheaper then that. Epic was 349, Killington 349, mad river glen 249, sugarbush same, basically every eastern pass for students is sub 425 still not sure about our west tho.

Never understand the lack of specifics in thread titles but yeah.

I get people freaking out, but it's weird the biggest thing people are freaking out about is losing unlimited on the Ikon which is 100% why it's so crowded.

People want it both ways. Idk. Doesn't really matter too much to me. Sucks theyre going to doze employee housing this summer or next though.

No offense but that was a retarded take
