RIP STEVE JOBS

Shit, RIP man.

And today I was watching the keynote address and thinking, "this guy sucks at doing this thing, where is steve jobs?"

i knew something was serious when he wasnt at the keynote yesterday, every time he took a leave before he always showed up for something major.

never could have thought this would happen the next day.

Truly sad, a man the only other comparable man in the technological world is bill gates, but he had no where near the creative and cultural impact. He has affected the lives of all of us more then we could ever know...

I was just going to post the Stanford thing.

RIP Steve,

Thank you for the iPod, and iPhone. I love both of them.

yes he has been in poor health for quite some time. however he was also acting CEO of the company and heavily involved with the process of creativity and ingenuity of its products. its safe tosay that jobs has been a primary reason for the production of certain apple products ranging from the appleII to the ipad. with him leaving the company to begin with, people began to doubt, and now with the "release" of the "new" iphone (despite its many improvements) and then the news of his death within hours of the release announcement, the company is expected to take a major blow in stock, with people dumping hoping that they will make a profit on their investment. the stock market mostly reacts to stockholder expectations and perceptions, so the current expectation and perception is not a good one. a good buddy of mine who works in finance at a securities firm in new york feels the same way and is expecting the market to be explode tomorrow with large amounts of selling.

however, apple just passed exxon as the largest us based company, and with around 90 billion on the balance sheet that could be spent, it will take a while for this giant to fall. thus my statement of slow decline...

this isnt meant to heartless.

steve jobs was intuitive and his creativity will change the way we think about using computers and other forms of electronics. his products have created a base for which other companies base their products off...

what not everyone realised is that mr. jobs resigned a few months ago and the company's new ceo is Tim cook. RIP Steve, such a smart guy

I think apple is too big to fail, they will continue to make quality products thanks to jobs's work these past 15 years. RIP

shoulda bought a mac. oh wait..

kidding, really is a tragedy that someone so gifted dies at such a young age. revolutionary to say the least, he'll be written about in history books years from now.

Does this mean that I can finally type shit into my iphone with out it auto correcting to shut? Or we can make porn apps for the iphone?

I know it's not a laughing matter, but my friend just texted me this and I couldn;t help but share

"I guess the saying 'an apple a day' is wrong"

For everyone saying that apple will now go down the shitter- you dont know what youre talking about.

Apple is run by some of the smartest people in the world. You do not get a job with apple unless you have a future in inovation and progression. Apple doesnt just hire the smartest engineers, they hire the smartest and most creative engineers. Steve Jobs had taken a back seat for the last few years and watched as apples head employes took over the company, he knew eventually he would need replacements and thats what his main focus was. He started Pixar, he created Apple and NeXT. He has changed all of our lives, even if you hate apple, your life would be extremely different if it wasnt for this genius.

“I want to put a dent in the universe.” – Steve Jobs

RIP Mr. Jobs, you have changed my life, you are a role model to anyone and everyone who wants to make an impact on the world.

most people already knew his health was in terrible decline, he barely did much besides press conferences the last year or so

I don;t think stocks are going to change that much at all seeing how he already stepped down a while ago.

He has been actively involved until he took a leave of absence this past year. There is no evidence that he took a back seat. He sent emails out about the cafeteria to address employees concerns he wasn't a typical CEO he was a key part of the business. That being said apple should do fine with out him. Tim cook knew what was going on and I am sure that mr jobs had prepared his employees for te day where he wouldn't be here.

RIP. most people will be lucky to have half of the impact he has had on society as a person, a manager, a computer engineer and innovator. however, all the money in the world cannot save you, this is why we ski. god bless and long live the king

ADDRESSING THE STOCK SPECULATION

as for the stock, aapl has tremendous value in their shares already and has more projects on the books still to come to promote their P/E, despite the recent pull back (profit taking above 400 range) in shares they will not slow down their innovation or their closing their market share gap v. windows. you better believe those employees love that man and will work perhaps even harder now in his legacy. yesterdays 3.7% rally off the bottom on the SPX already touched the 200 day moving average (for aapl) which for traders and investors alike is very important (how much farther do you want it to sell off without seeing sales effected?) buy the weakness in price on any pullback you can find...

long term aapl shares are a buy in my book as well as many hedge funds throughout the country. they present a compelling argument for market share growth against windows/ android and MASSIVE potential in EM's, absolutely massive like you have no idea. just wait for icloud computing, apple tv, iphone 5, and the introduction into asia markets with aapl products where 65% of aapl profits comes from iphone and ipad sales, and virtually no one in china owns a computer all the more reason that they will have an iphone or ipad in the future or why they "already do" thanks for reading and good luck if you plan to short it, markets already been absolutely pummeled for the last 6 months.

sorry for all the text, but it bothers me to see people saying sell the stock. absolutely wrong call to be making here.

shit this sucks. after hours AAPL stock is already taking a hit.

RIP, he was a true innovator.

in 35 years he turned this:

into this:

Shred In peace mang... wait.. umm

But for real, this is a bummer. Dude was a mastermind. He will be missed by apple and all of us.

apparently his death is being responded to by everyone wondering what affects it will have on their wealth. greedy fucking bastards. placing a price on his life.

i went in the apple store to go get my i pod fix and they wouldn't help me because it was too old to try and fix. they said i should buy a new one so you know what i don't feel bad /rant

IN ABOUT 10 HE TURNED

INTO

iphone-5.jpg

MY IPOD/ITUNES IS SOMETHING I USE FOR HOURS EVERY DAY AND THINK NOTHING OF IT. WHEN I FIRST HEARD HE DIED I WAS LIKE "OH WOW THATS SAD" BUT THEN I REALIZED HOW MUCH ALL HIS STUFF HAS IMPACTED ALL THE SHIT I TAKE FOR GRANTED EVERY DAY.

So because one of the stores that sell his product wouldn't fix your old iPod, you don't feel bad for an incredible man who just died? That doesn't make any sense. If you don't like the company, I don't care. At least respect him.

anyone who first thing went to check their stocks soon as they heard the news (and it sure sounds like a lot of people did) are more concerned about their wealth then his death

I honestly watched that commencement speech this morning for no reason other than I was cruising TED and it came up, appropriate timing i guess.

RIP. "Stay hungry, stay foolish."
