Its funny, lighten the fuck up. Those people that cared about her and liked her can mourn her death, while the rest of us can lighten the mood a bit.
 
weird. lost a solid wall of text. not going to re-write it. but general gist was: those of us in Commonwealth countries do know about her. I've known a lot about her for a while and have had my opinions about her for almost as long. those opinions haven't changed with her death.

Agreed. For some reason it sounded like you were praising her simply for being a woman, which isn't really the case. What she made of herself is an "accomplishment" I guess, however awful she actually was.

I propose a campaign to make all posts deemed "not nice" bannable. Who's with me? Feelings!
 
And just to clarify, I'm not celebrating anyone's death. That would be both hypocritical of me, and in poor taste. I'm indifferent to it, and I just don't understand the half-boner Thatcher conjures up in conservatives.

Not saying I'm an expert on politics, but I think most people had heard of her before.

I have a British passport, not sure whether that gives me any more right to joke about her death than others though. My main point is that I'm not an ignorant American tween. :)
