Not many of you may have known Kendall, but he was an amazing friend to many. I unfortunately did not have the opportunity to be as close with Kendall as some did, but nonetheless he was one of the sweetest kids on the hill. When I started park skiing just a short two years ago I met Kendall, he took his time to help teach me how to Kfed...this may have just been a small gesture but it shows the kind heart that he had. Heaven gained an angel today and I hope you all keep him in your prayers today and through this ski season. Rest easy Kendall

I can say that I have never lost anyone close to me around my age, so I cant speak from experience, but every time "we" loose a member of the ski community, it touches close to me. Keeping all his friends and family in my prayers and thoughts. RIP

Can someone make some ski for kendall stickers? i would love to support him and maybe we could donate money to his family??

having a family member die is not only tragic but it is also expensive. just lost a grams recently and it sucked emotionally and financially. funeral costs and stuff

Funereals are extremely expensive..I first hand have seen families literally fall apart after the death of a loved one and to top it off they are stamped with a $15,000 bill just to bury their son...Raising money would be the least we can do for a fellow freeskier...

Oh this is so very tragic. Rest in Peace Kendall, and prayers for friends and family! Prayers for the drunk driver, apparently his best friend according to the article. So sad.

S.I.P. man so sad tp hear the freeskiing world lost yet another shredder and it wasn't even him skiing vibes to him and his family

15K is not a great deal, I'm making some assumptions based on the fact that he skis, but it would cost them a lot more if he had survived, as such I doubt they'll "fall apart financially"

I think a better use of money/time would be to try and show the family how much everyone appreciated him in some way, money is just money, but raising their spirits is worth far more than anything.

SO MUCH THIS. Yes funerals are expensive but I'm pretty sure his family is more upset about losing a son then they are about the funeral costs.

Seeing that their son was loved and will be remembered will do so much more then the few bucks selling stickers will generate.

By the way, I'm not against stickers, I think they are a great idea. I just don't think they should be used strictly to generate money to donate to the family.

But if everyone (especially at our local mountain where he skied) has a sticker on his or her helmet then that will show tremendous support to his family.

And I'm sure there will be something to commemorate him this season

This exactly. We all want to hate the guy for driving drunk, but could you imagine having to go through the rest of your life knowing you killed your best friend. Prayers for both families. SIP.
