If you guys didn't hear yet he fell of a rail in Nagano and fell 3 stories and landed on his head. Just a wake up that with all this progression it can come at a huge cost.

line-because skiing needs a future

yeah, you do have a point, with all this progression, there will be a death soon in the skiing world

Anderson wasnt progressing anything when he died, he was just screwing around and he tried to slide down a spiral staircase on his ass and he lost his balance on the 4th floor and fell 50 feet hit his head and died.

Which is pretty shitty cause he was a sick snowboarder.

Condolences

WIth the way our sport is progressing, someone has to be seriously injured. If oyu dont go for something big, you sont progress. An easy landing isnt always inevitable.

ya he was just sitting on the railing at a hotel and i think it aws 5 storioes... but maybe 3, still high, and it was one of those outside railings where u can go to the floor below you, so he just slid over a bit and began to go down it then he lost balance and fell backwards... i mean seriously shows u that nobody is invincible... i mean the guy obviously had tech balance if hes a pro boarder but when u do stupid things it never ends well. RIP.

'i am excellent cool'

yeah it was a spiral stair case i guess, and he started slidding from the 5th floor and when he got to the forth floor he lost his balance and fell like 50 feet

Jeff Anderson Dies in Accident

02.24.03

Associated Press

TOKYO (AP) - An American professional snowboarder fell to his death after losing his balance while sliding down the rail of a spiral staircase in central Japan early Sunday.

Jeffrey Anderson, of Mammoth Lakes, Calif., was trying to slide sideways on his rear down the rail of the hotel staircase at about 3:15 a.m., a Nagano police official said.

After starting out on the fifth floor, the 23-year-old snowboarder lost his balance on the fourth and fell 50 feet to the first, the official said on condition of anonymity. Anderson was taken to a hospital by ambulance but was pronounced dead due to injuries he suffered from hitting his head.

Anderson was in Nagano to compete in a snowboard competition Saturday and Sunday.

Its been a tough year for the snowboarding world.

Made in Tasmania.

** I personally believe skiing is gaining soul. It's great to see racers ripping the pipe and boarders crossing over to skiing. If anything is taking away from the soul of skiing, it's the skiers who are in it for the wrong reasons, and the ones who are in chat rooms bagging on other people's style when they should be skiing **

theres bound to be one sooner or later in skiing,it could be any of the pros, they could do the trick blindfolded but just that one time they could fuck up

half of you guys are assholes, a death is a death. if he was screwing around of not, a loss in the freestyle world sucks.
