a teammate a friend of mine died yesterday. his parents said it was a suicide but my team and i all know it was a drug overdose. he was a good kid and a dedicated hockey player but he would always show up to games on painkillers, we always told him those were dangerous but he never really listened. i'll miss him even if i only new him for half a season. it just makes me think how close to home drugs can strike, even when you and your family don't do them the NCYH (northern colorado youth hockey) association with be honoring him with helmet stickers with his name, and my team is going to get patches for our jerseys. the whole thing just home precious life is and how fortunate i am to be alive and well and skiing and playing hockey. i'm play for ya jake. rest in peace

its really great that your team is supporting his memory and you can help others realize the effects that drugs and ovedoses can have on friends and family. + vibes for you, your friend, and his family.

shits sad bro my boy did himself in closing weekend lastyear i feel ur pain, hope u guys come together and kill it this season for him sorry for ur loss bro

damn dude.I'm really sorry to hear about your friend. A few of my friends dabble in pills and other heavier shit and it kills me to think that something like this could happen to anyone.
RIP

hey sorry about the lost.
i think u should go talk to his parents and tell them that he didn't commit suicide but that it was an OD. I would rather have my kid od then commit suicide. i think it would make them feel a lot better know the truth and the he didn't want to kill him self.
