Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am 16th May. Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal with this terrible loss. Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever.

Man, this sucks. When I was 16 my dad gave me an old Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow album (Rainbow Rising) to check out and it was amazing. Such a talented guy. Everything he did was awesome.

oh oooooooooooh oooooooooooooooooh oh oooooooooooooh oooooooooooh ooh oh uh ooooooh oooooooooooh. fuckin dio was awsome, i got to see him in montreal 2 years back, doing his frontman for sabbath bit and opening for megadeth. he was an entertainer and he will be missed
 
this does indeed suck. i still think killswitch does a better holy diver, and ive never liked much of what dio has made, but he still deserves credit for being a modern metal pioneer
 
today is a sad sad day. we lost one of the greatest rockers of all time. some may not like his vocals but he had pipes of fire.. rainbow and his solo stuff amazing... i myslef was never a fan of him in sabbath. but i do se how he had his impact there. pour one out for dio.
