How can you not respect what he did? Over 160 kills, the longest of which supposedly being from around 2,100 yards away? What?!?!? Or is it just because war is wrong, violence solves no problems, and America is only in the middle east because the Illuminati and George Bush caused 9/11.

yea I don't respect killing people. especially when at least some of those people were completely innocent and in the wrong place at the wrong time.
why would I have more respect for killing because it happened from further away? sense make no.
But if you're talking about a badass, look up that other dude. Finnish soldier who had over 500 confirmed kills in a 100 day period during the winter in Scandinavia. Super short days, freezing cold, WW fucking 2, absolutely no thermal/night vision, using a rifle that was no doubt made in the 20's, and he refused to use a scope. Did every kill through the irons. This was as a sniper. Now THAT is badass.

It's hard to compare a modern SEAL sniper with the white death, that happened 70 years ago, technology has changed immensely since then. He was also in his homeland, that was his element. He used iron sights because it gave him an advantage in his climate, no glare, and no fogging. He does get some major points for getting 200 kills with a machine gun as well, raising his total to 700 in 100 days.
