hello...

...i am writting this thread just for pure venting. I'm disapointed with my country (canada) as of late. We have a Conservative government (how did that happen again?), The HBC Group, which almost single handedly made this country what it is, is now owned by an American... Tim Hortons has been bought by Wendy's (and is now owned by Americans as well).

The Americans are trying to steel our lumber... and worst of all, there's so much hate to imagrents comming into our country. I don't know about you, but I really don't see a point in all the hating on imagrents, I mean - unless you're native, your ancestors (or maybe even you) imagrated to Canada. What, because you can speak fluent english you are better than them?

What is the price tag for our country? How much would you be willing to sell out for? Would $35 000 000 US be too much for Canada and all it's resources? Surely, with all the wealth the USA has, and how much resources Canada has, 35 Million isn't too much. Americans have done it in the past... They 'purchased' Alaska from the Russians, the island of Manhatten from the Dutch, they couldn't buy the south west, so they just took it over... And with a country with only 35 million people (with up to 90% of us living within 100km from the boarder) we wouldn't stand up for much of a fight - is $1 million each worth it to give up our water, lumber, oil, and more? or, are we going to go the typical Canadian way and just bend over and let them have it?

that was mad venting.

conservatives arnt all bad. our way works too if its not implemented by some asshole.

i do think that people imigrating shoud know/learn the language native just like i would if i moved to spain or france.

i dont want to buy your country, i just want to invest in it!

if that ever happened, I would take my one million and move to new zealand. You would have to force me to be an american. Wait 50 years and either Canada will be insanely rich or we will have fought a war with the US and probably lost. Either way, water is the next major natural resource and we own it all.

I like Canada they have nice drinking ages and what other country has a province that doenst speak the same language as the rest of the country. But I like the US more
