I fly in @ 10 pm to the SLC international. Can anyone give me and another friend a ride from SLC airport to South Jordan / Sandy for less than what a taxi cab would?

Its cash.

I can't pick my rental up until the next day cause its Christmas and they have whack hours.

that sucks man, i'd do it but i'll be in wisconsin.

no hotel shuttle/bus? maybe call them, i'm sure they have advice for the best way to do this.

have you called the shuttle companies? there are a few there that do like a ride-share thing and i've heard if you call ahead and there are a few people on there it is cheaper than a cab but it may take a bit longer because they have to go to all the different stops.

if you really wanted to you could probably take a cab to the closest trax station (which would be near downtown) and take that to the closest stop to your hotel, but that would be HUGE pain in the ass with gear and luggage and probably worth just paying for the cab.

in a few years they'll have trax running from the airport, which will make things soooooo much easier.

I called UTA and they said they are not running Christmas day at all.

I have found cabs / fares in the $36-40 price range. I understand SLC Intl. to South Jordan / Sandy is quite a drive , and it is Christmas eve.

I'll shell out $36 to the taxi company or whatever. I was just trying to see if anyone could hook a ride up for less.

I see it as a chance for someone to make $15 (after gas) or so if they have nothing to do on Christmas night.

do whatever you can to avoid taking a cab. its far to expensive and sandy isnt exactly close to the airport. your best bet would probably be to either call hotel and see if they have a shuttle or shell out scrilla to someone on here to pick you up.
speaking of which anyone going from the U to the airport on the 19th around noon?

Word I'll stay posted up on this thread looking for anyone who has offers.

I have a smartphone too so I can be on NS while flying to SLC so I can check if anyones willing to help me out.

Onepole was awesome. he was there waiting for me and was legit.

whoever had a callout thread on him....you are retarded.

thanks eheath.
went to solitude today since we didn't get our rental till 9:30 and i wanted to try and get to snowbird right at open.
dug around in the honeycomb canyon, stood atop the summit lift and was blown away by the sight.
was real tight leaving SLC and the smog that surrounds it and get in to the canyons. Oh get this the car rental place gave me an awesome deal on a 4x4 cause the full size's they had weren't read. now i can fit 4 hookers, 1 dead hooker, 3 sets of skis, and myself all in the SUV.
Now....to find some enlightenment in this town. mental enlightenment.
