Ride away-able airbag landing...

Well that woulda saved me a lot of bad falls on first attempts. I wonder how ski friendly it is? Seems like you could tweak a knee pretty easily.

it looks sick, kinda like a resi in the skate world. could ski poles burst it? or even bounce up into your face/body

i feel horrible for him, i dont know what i would do if i was crippled. +vibes to him

and that thing is so fucking sick, i can definetly see it being put at summer camps and such, or maybe even having demo days at hills kinda. Where they set up one jump for a day or weekend and have people shred it. I would love trying that not only because of the lesser chance of injury but also because the main reason i dont try lots of things is because im scared too

that such a sick invention. and maaad mad props for the guy who though of him. much respect to keeping with the sport even after a life changing injury like that.

it a double edge sword ...( like the foam pit for freestyle mx ) It will progress tricks to a level that will be impossible for most people to achieve without the airbag. guarntee overall injuries increase due to the need for everyone to step up their game that doesnt have an airbag

i dont think that will work as well for skis unless you are on some huge planks. and you would have to pretty much land perfect on skis, cause your gonna put too much pressure on the bag and its gonna give in

maybe it could be adjusted for skis?

That is so sick! The other air bags supposedly have to have super steep jumps onto them because they are a flat landing. They say that it makes it so you can do some crazy tricks, but only on jumps that almost no mountain has. But with this thing, you could have just a normal park jump, but also have the safety of the air bag. It's such a brilliant idea.

The inherent proposition is that landings are hard. Why not just land in powder? That solves the problems. If you don't have pow, there are many things you can do to obtain some.

My guess is that the sense of accomplishment that comes with dialing in a new trick is cheapened with these airbags (what fun is this if there is no danger or difficulty to it?), and that they will only promote crazier and riskier tricks on actual snow, therefore creating more danger than is there now. However, I would have a fun time moondropping into one for an afternoon.
