ok who can figure it out?

you are on a bridge and there are two trolls. they said that if you go one way you die and the other way you survive. except one always tells the truth and one always tells lie. you can ask one question what would be your one question? think carefully
 
Fine, I'll say it.

Ask: "Which way would the other one tell me is the way to survive"

Then go the opposite direction.
 
If you only have 1 question...You can find out which troll lies and which one tells the truth but then you wont be able to ask them which way to go...I say in the end you have a 50 50 shot of living no matter what. On another note i'd probably turn around and go the way i came from atleast i know thats safe.

one troll said that if you go his way you survive, and the other said if you go his way you will die, so you have to identify which troll is telling the truth with the one question.
 
if you asked which one lied how would you know which one was telling the truth.

you just ask them to tell you which waay the other one would tell you to go
 
The one that lies will point to the death place because that is not where the one that tells the truth would point. The one that tells the truth would point to the death place because the liar would point there.
 
wait if one is lying and he other is telling the truth, then both bridges will kill you or both bridges are aok, you just dont know which option
 
no because the liar would say the other one would tell you to go the right way and the troll telling the truth would say the the other troll would tell you to go the other way but you don't know which one is the liarso you still wouldn't know which way to go.

If theres 2 trolls, and one lies (troll A) and one tells the truth (troll B)

then ask either Troll which way the other would tell you to go, so if you asked troll A, he would say towards him, because hes lieng, because he knows that troll B would tell you to go towards Troll B.

If you asked Troll B which the other troll would send you, he'd point towards troll A, and you would just go in the opposite direction. Because Troll A is lieng to you, because you really want to go towards troll A.

ugh theres no point in explaining, if they dont understand with a full explanation they will not be able to wrap their brains around it anyway, some people just cant think that way.

If you asked which one was there right hand, the liar would obviously say his left, but your one question is gone, and you dont know which troll has the safe side.

 
oh ya, haha. ive heard this riddle before and always thought it was one troll says he has the safe side, and one says he has the bad side. haha myyy bad

so when they told you "go this way", you know if that troll really meant go this way or if he was lying

but what if the liar lies by saying he doesn't know when he really does, then the truth teller would tell you the liar would say " I don't know". Trolls are tricky creatures
 
the true riddle is; If one always lies and one always tells the truth, how could they both tell you that if you go one way you die and one way you live?
