Rich pro skiers?

Don't pros riders travel in team? I mean when they go to a comp or something the whole team live in the same place and the company pay for the food and stuff?
 
i dont think i should get too deep into this.... but i had travel covered last year...reimbursement style....this year i chose salary over travel budget, so anything i did, besides corporate things, was out of my pocket.
 
Seth still drives a 1990/91 (I'm not sure which) subaru. Which makes most of his oakley outfits that he gets for free worth more than his car.
 
It's all over the board, even at the top. Top racers are making bank. For the past few years Bode was reportedly pulling $2-3 million annually.

Freeskiers are obviously making less, but those with worldwide exposure and major endoresments like Red Bull and JL can't be that far behind. On the other hand, Seth (who's probably the most underpaid skier out there) has said that his pay is far from being called wealthy.

Probably the biggest hit for freeskiers is not competing in the Olympics. An Olympic gold in a major event like skiing or snowboarding is the quickest path to instant millions.
 
^yeah but thats body... He is pretty commercial and stuff. But yeah guess racers get way more than frestylers. Just turn on any sport chanel and u always see ski racing. Althoug I heard there was some mogul skiing who was pretty rich coz of his bussines!! But yeah thats not from skier but he was def a millionaire!
 
why does everyone seem to think tanner owns armada? i could be wrong and maybe it's changed since the company was set up but armada is owned by a corporate sponsor. ie a rich git whos got enough cash to start and run a company. like i say i could be wrong.

the few pros i know basically just get refunded for expences. ie you keep your receipt and they mail you cheques. not exactly a wage now is it... some guys can opt for a cheque at the start of the season instead but i guess this works out to be less money overall.
 
I read that Julien and JP and Dorion all started Armada TOGETHER with T-hall, with a corporate sponsor.

Tanner is involved in real estate, I saw an interview.

Andy, what's the life like? We need a big long post out of you to set this shit straight.
 
ya but tanner gets revenue on all his promodel skis sold, he partially owns armada and the bigger picture. off just skiing alone skiers dont make shit
 
Jon makes a ton of cash just because hes known by the entire population of sweden. hes got like car sponsorships and ish. not to mention the moddeling with j lindenberg. i say him in GQ once!! it was sweet
 
there is no such thing as a rich pro skier.....shaun white is boreder line in snowboarding of being rich MFM is rich purely on his investments.....you dont get rich in this industry...jut look at film makers im sure i remember justin from OTP saying once that "this(11thhour) will be my last movie as although i love making movies i also love food".....pretty much unless you the matchstick crew or jon(designerlabel) olsson you have to accept your going to be poor.
