I am sorry I had to post this but I have to vent. All the kids in my school are all fucking spoiled little fucks. One kid has a 2001 mustang GT fucken pimped out and he said he didn't like, it enough before our spring brake, so his mom and dad went out and bought him a boxster. And some kid who just turned 16 drove his very own escalade to school. And some other kid rode a brand new harley to school!! Does anyone fucken pay for there own shit anymore. I have a 1986 station wagon volvo thats missing 3 hub caps no cd player cracked windshield 2 doors that don't open no matter how hard you try. And I can barely pay the insurance and be able to pay for rent food eletric and shit!!!! I am just very mad at these kids who get all this shit for doing nothing at all!!! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

if you buy your kid a porsche or ferrari, you just want them to kill themselves. if they dont have to pay for it, they dont appreciate it, and will speed and shit and just kill themselves.

if they buy their own car, they will take care of it. they might still speed, but at least they wont have a ferrari or porsche.

I live in a resort town / redneck town so there are a few really rich people and some dirt poor folk as well. This kid on my baseball team is rich, hes pretty cool though. He has a sick yellow suburban with leather seats and a sound system that shakes the whole parking lot. It is sick. Its set up about 5 inches and has off road tires, it is so nice...

I hate rich kids who get their parents who pay for every thing. This one girl i know she was bitching to me because the diamond on the gold ring her dad bought for her was too small. I say parents should make you work for atleast some of what you get. NO HANDOUTS. They just give kids the wrong messsage.

Money is ment to be spent, but if I have lots of $$$$ I will hopefully drive a nice car, my kids will have their education paid for, not their cars ~ unless they are $500. I live in boulder, CO..there are some wicked spoiled little fuckers here who don't know the value of stuff since they never paid for anything.

my frieneds parents bought him a bmw and even though we all envy it he's cool about it and, he doesnt bragg about anything, but we still make fun of him sometimes just bc his parents bought it for him, haha. i saved up all my money and buy all my stuff, its worth it bc you really take care of it since you worked for it. i have a 1996 jeep grand cherokee but all it takes is just hard work thats all

sorry but i have a 2 mill house, but yes my parents dont spoil me to shit. i have had a job for 2 years and i pay for almost everything except food and insurnce. yes i paid 20,000 for my car of my money. and my parents helped me out when i spent 10,000 putting crap into it. yeah but people who bitch about crap like that, the thing i hate most is people see my house and say wow he must be a stuck up asshole. it kinda pisses me off

my 2 cents... if a kid's rich and his parents buy him shit it's fine, and there is absolutely no reason to get upset at said kid, but if this kid flaunts his wealth bitches about everything etc. He deserves no respect.

Holy shit, Niwot CO. by Boulder has got to be equally bad as any of your guy's towns. A girl was complaing because she didn't like the color of her Z3, a kid totaled his escalade and his parents bought him a 99 porshce in exchange, and 99% of the kids think that Abercrombie is discount clothing. They piss me off because they make fun of the few poor kids in the school, even if they're cool. My skater friend gets shit because he drives a 79 pontiac.

this chick in my grade got her parents to buy her a 2000 s-10 extreme when she got her license. When her brother turned 16 he got something nicer than her so she wanted a 2002 s-10 Crew Cab ZR5. And ya, her parents bought it for her. fuck, that stupid hoe gets that and im stuck with my parents fricken van.

 
Van city is full of kids with new merc and bmw. Its stupid they think there so much better than everyone else. There's always things in the paper about 17 years old's street racing in bmw's an merc, and getting them selves killed. What are parents thinking when they buy there kids these cars, that they would drive slow. I wouldn't mind having a new bmw but personly i wouldn't trust myself driving it as my first car, cause i know i would drive to fast

some are bad, but some are cool, like a few of my friends are rich, and you would never guess. They just share the wealth by letting us stay at their lake houses and condo's. One's dad played for the pittsburgh pirates and their house is cool, but he is the nicest kid. What pisses me off, is that some kid at my college gets a 500 dollar a month allowance and blows it all. Shit, if i got that, i would be taking mad ski trips, and saving a lot for a rainy day. That's my 2 cents.

i agree w/ wjbski and skibum420. if parents have the money to help out their kids along the way, why not? as long as they teach them the value of money and that everybody isn't as fortunate, it's better than hording all the money and letting the kid slave away at mcdonald's. one of my buddies is from a very well off family - his parents gave him an explorer, but they also made him have a job in high skool, he has since turned out very well.

its not necessarily just like the richest people tho...like some people that have a good amount of money spoil their kids....one of my best friends is the richest family in CO, but he's not spoiled at all...yeah he'll get a car, but its not gonna be that nice, nothing like an escalade or a ferrari....but this one kid who sucks at everything gets whatever, he get pocket rockets and he can't do a 360 and all sorts of shit

 
of course, it pretty much a given, there are lots of nice and unspoiled rich people out there. Im almost posivitive, people are only complaining about the people that are asshole and like flashing thier wealth!

i hate all the rich skier kids too that get the nicest equipment and can't do shit. all the people whos parents buy them everything suck. my parents paid for my skis this year but i had to buy every lift ticket and food...me being the dumbshit i am...didn't buy a seasons pass. oh well. rich bitches can piss the hell outta me.

1080Chick, you know Im the same way! I pay for all my equitment and passes (except for family vacations). Dont worry Im want to become a 'real' skibum when I graduate! These people will live fake lives, in their offices and there multi-million Aspen Condos, private jet and all! They will still going skiing but its nothing more than spending thier money on something. Meanwhile I'll be working hard but also doing what I love. Skiing. We shouldn't get discouraged we should just know that we earn what we have so we enjoy it that much more!!

uh dude i dont think theyre living fake lives, id sure like to have the multimillion dollar condo and private jet. hehehe funny story i just thought about. a few weeks ago, this guy, lets call him john. so john's parents are away for the week and even though he only has his G1 john thinks it would be a good idea to bring daddy's brand new mercedes s class to school and be all pimpin in front of everyone. so there i am about to hop into my dad's truck with some friends to go for lunch and all we hear is tires squeeling. we look over and see john do 3 fishtails then run daddy's brand new car into a fence lined with trees. Total damage: trees=$1000 car=$3000. all he did was write his daddy a cheque. rich people suck!!

some people think im rich because my dad just bought me a truck. it's an '89 Sonoma but it's also a company car and since i work for the company it's now mine.

It really pisses me off when people assume that other people are rich. (I'm not talking about the people mentioned in this thread.) There's a girl at school that is constantly bugging me because she thinks I'm rich. My family isn't doing poorly, but we're no where near rich. She doesn't know anything about me.

That's true. If, as a kid/teenager, you're never taught how to earn and deal with money then you're totally going to be screwed when you have to earn your own living. I have a part time job, and the things that I wear or own are usually all bought by me.

If someone is rich they should still spend 'some money on their kids. But also make sure that they atleast do something around the house for it. even if they have a maid or whatever. teach them how much something actually costs. and be practical, don't by a 16 yr old a brand new ferrari. U know he/she will just kill themself or someone else.
