yeah, atomics team only consists of 2 freeskiers as of right now. Tom Dolezel and Travis Redd......
 
tim russell is with atomic? what happened with him and line? or did he join the club and get away from line like the others?
 
Rex Thomas asked to wipe his nose on my doo-rag once at manning... I just feel like I haven't been name dropping enough lately, and I don't think nearly enough people are familiar with that events occurence.
 
i had a copy of Versus laying around and watched Rex Thomas's segment for the first time in a while and its awesome. So is his bonus segment which is really interesting to listen to 3 years after the fact. It basically him talking about the fututre of newschool and he's right about a lot of stuff he predicts. He also talks about how going big with no style is not cool even though it might get you scores at comps, and about how sick Olsonn, Crighton, Tanner, and Pep are.

Anyway....
 
oh no it will be a full time job, he just does that in his spare time. its a restaurent/bar.

Tim was on the team but he went behind my back and signed with Volkl before I had the chance to get his contract finalized and printed by the bug gunns in Europe, meeh his loss.

Big changes in the works, ski design and softgoods marketing etc, not gonna really see them materialize till Vegas but they're pretty sick! I'm stoked.

As for bartending at the shack, I'm still there, it keeps me busy while I'm here in town and they're cool with my hectic winter schedule.
 
Rex, lets be honest here pal!

Tim did NOT pull the wool over your eyes, run around to the back alley and sign with Volkl while you were distracted! He make the decision based on his belief that Volkl would be more supportive of his career, and help push him in the right direction. After all, you were insisting that he shoot with TGR next year, what did you think he was going to do? That woulda put an end to his career before it even started!

not exactly sure what your sources are but they're false, I actually wanted tim to shoot with poorboyz and or Level 1, and as for him going behind my back, I guess you're right he didn't, cause it's not going behind someones back when a verbal agreement is made and after that agreement is made you sign a contract with another company and don't bother to mention anything about the other company to the original company till 2 days after the contact is signed. Contracts take time to get through the legal proscess and since I came into this position I've added some stuff to all the athlete contracts that require the entire contract to be revised, that takes some time. It's all good, opens up some budget for someone else, I wish Tim the best of luck and hope he made the right descision. My biggest gripe is he didn't talk to me about it before he did it. It's moves like that that are the reason skier don't make any freaking money, eventually people will realize it's a business, that's the point when money will start flowing a little more freely.
