Revolt 121 as daily ski

I have ridden a surface daily 120 191 for the last 4 years and it was good. Heavy but really wide radius

revolt is a shorter radius , obviously similar length and underfoot. Wondering if I’m the only one that rides that fat of a ski daily?

205 5’11 skier, Utah, aggressive . Been thinking of the zag slap 112 or anima for my daily and these being powder but not sure

Unless Utah is heli skiing in Alaska, I don't think a 120+ makes sense as a daily.

I disagree, i have a 115mm underfoot and a lot of tip and tail rocker and its just playful asf

Unless you like a really floppy tip and a real squishy tail, don't use that ski as a daily driver. It's just not gonna cut it.

I actually skied on a pair of them today - My mountain was having a volkl demo event for us shop guys, and I had to take something big out since its been dumping over here. It was great for my first couple runs of the day when it was fresh, but as soon as it was chopped up, they were not very nice to ski on. They merely manage themselves down groomers - they don't carve or instill much confidence... and forget skiing bumps with any comfort.

My daily driver is both wider, and stiffer (Nordica Radict - what an absolute weapon of a ski), and I live somewhere with more consistent powder than Utah... the Revolt 121 wouldnt even make it into my quiver over here, personally... Maybe the 114 would do better for me... definitely would like a pair of the Revolt 102, as those things are an awesome bit of fun.

I daily bent 120's out in Washington. 166 6'3" and super aggressive. The shorter turn radius is super fun but it can comfortably make longer turns. I have heard from heavier skiers that they don't enjoy it as much saying it doesn't have enough "substance." They also prefer 2000g+ skis.

100-108 is perfect for the Wasatch for a daily. Only time you might need more is during a storm cycle like right now, but lets be real, by the time you get up the canyon its going to be chop.

There's really a lot of great options out there now around that size. Only giving recs on skis I've actually been on in the last year. I liked the Anima when I tried them for a day. Great edge to edge for 115. In that waist width I'd also check out Nordica Unleashed 114, great everywhere (Nordica's lineup is slept on). Salomon Blank was surprisingly fun - short radius and nimble for its weight both on groomers and off piste - middle of the road flex (stiffer than my Reckoner 112's). Moment Wildcat was simply too stiff for my taste - a blast in the chop, but not ideal in tight trees, etc. Armada JJ is still a great ski everywhere, canI love the Bent Chet 120 but as stated, they can get floppy as you break em in. I've had wide daily's in the past -prodigy 4.0 (when it was still 112 underfoot) - I loved this ski but the top sheets were garbage. Atomic Blog - very playful but got too soft as I broke them in. For reference my current quiver is ARV 106 for the daily, Reckoner 112 for pow (getting softer the more I ski them), and ARV 96Ti for park/groomers. I'll be looking for a new wider ski to replace the Reckoner after this season. I've owned Bent Chet 120 and Salomon Rocker 122's in the past and I found I only loved those skis when it dumps two feet+, and that's not all that often as I'd wish in Central CO.

I daily’ed the revolt 121 for the last two seasons at Alta. You feel it towards the middle of the afternoon unless you have great conditioning. The turn radius is short so they ski groomers just fine in areas where there is a regular refresh of new snow to keep the groomers soft. Early season in Utah this year made me remember that not every season is like last season. They were a bit more work through December this season. If you can afford more than one ski definitely buy the revolts and ski them as conditions permit. If you only afford one ski go with something more reasonable. This season I’m daily driving the Deathwish 112 and I can’t believe how fun they’ve been on groomers.

I've heard really amazing things about the new rossi black ops 110 (sender free or something) as a really great wider all rounder.

the rossignol sender free 110 is the quiver killer that you need. They pivot around like a 100 underfoot, carve like a 95 underfoot and float like a 115. And they charge anything. i loved them so much on my demo
