Revision Messed Up

LOL and they're challenging bank claims while they're doing this?

Seriously, this is on the level of shenanigans that darknet drug dealers pull when they want to quit. They usually just take in a bunch of fucking orders that they never ship out and then close up shop with all the cash money. I never thought I'd see the day where this would be used in a legitimate industry so blatantly, I thought we were supposed to be protected from this garbage.

This is just awful I feel bad for all of you that purchased skis last summer. I know this is a little late in the season but i have two demo skis from this past season that are no longer needed. If anyone is still waiting for their skis and wants them for the price of shipping hit me up.

Am I the only one to have revision challenge their claim? They had around 45 days to go to your bank and do so. I thought I had pulled out of bullshit until my bank called and said revision had its dick in my ass again. The situation just keeps getting worse and worse. Now my money is tangled in all this legal bullshit.

I just really want to know if they are actually trying to produce skis or scam people. At the moment it sure feels like a scam.

How in the hell could they possibly challenge it?

out of curiosity, how did they challenge it? in order to dispute a claim like that, revision has to provide sufficient proof that they held up their end of the agreement and fulfilled your order. did they provide your bank with a tracking number or proof of delivery or anything? did they finally ship your skis?

revision just challenged my bank claim...... So they basically took my refunded money back... wtf is going on

If Revision is actually refuting your bank claim and attempting to recoup the money you spent with them, then we are honestly approaching grounds for civil suit. With what danbrown said, can you ask your bank to send documentation of Revision's bank claim reversal?

P.S. can anyone of the older NS members or moderators remember who the user was who was going to law school and was like the old hand at legal issues on the forums? we're talking at least 8-9 years ago, but would love to have him chime in right now to hear his thoughts on the situation.

To clarify my earlier statement, there's a very minimal chance that Revision does actually see any sort of litigation with the current situation standing right now. If anything, Arbitration would probably be the highest level this would go to on all accounts, and even that would take a lot more time, money, and energy to even get to there.

None-the-less, if Revision: 1) failed to abide by the terms and conditions of the transaction by failing to deliver the purchased product to the customer outside of the promised delivery date within a reasonable time frame (I'd argue 60+ days is way outside of reasonable time frame, even if they simply gave a vague description of the promised date such as "Mid-January" or offering a $100 voucher for purchase of other merchandise), 2) failing to notify the customer of a revised or amended promised delivery date, and 3) attempted to refute bank claim reversals by providing little to no proof or evidence of a valid tracking number or valid confirmation of shipping the product, then Revision is starting to walk outside the lines of company malfeasance and into a whole other world of hurt.

Even if Revision said we're keeping the skis and we're only giving you half of your money back (still fucked up to do, I'm not defending this either), going back to refute bank claim reversals without proper documentation is so ballsy it's unreal, and reaching the point of more than just unethical...

By any chance, can anyone who purchased skis post a copy of the fine print when they bought the skis? I know it's a long shot but it could really help clarify some finer details

Great looks, it was definitely J.D. Would love for him to come in right now and hear his take on Revision attempting to reverse bank claims.

Wait, didn't somebody find and post Bill Wanrooy's house in this thread? We should pay these motherfuckers a visit.

All i know is the bank called my dad to let him know what happened. I'll get in touch with my bank and get some more info.. But as of now I don't know what proof they used

Honestly they're probably using the "your order has been completed" BS email they sent everyone a couple months ago.

If anyone else has any issues with refunds, I would HEAVILY recommend contacting your state's attorney general to file additional claims. Or, do that regardless.

I can't believe guys like the mole squad and the Bunch haven't spoken out at all, most skiers who bought revision are probably because of those 2 crews and their backing of revision and Bill Wanrooy

probably have contracts which would prevent that

Revision is a small company, they likely don't have the funds to enact petty litigation against people in another country on top of handling a civil suit if one happens. Based on that IG post it looks like hes blowing through the money hes grifting off his customers on vacations to Florida and other shit.

Can't believe this is all still going on. Some interesting information on the T&C page on the Revision website concerning arbitration, class action, cancellation policy. Linked below.
https://www.revisionskis.com/company/terms-conditions/

Thanks for posting this.

"Cancellation/Refund Policy

You may cancel your order at any time before it has shipped to you (excluding pre-sale orders). Orders placed via pre-sale are not eligible for order cancellation. Unused products in original packaging may be returned for a full refund within 14 days of purchase."

I believe one person in this thread tried to return his skis and was unable due to lack of communication from Revision (not able to obtain a return address).

In doing so, they've effectively broke their own terms and conditions by not providing a return shipping address, hence it is impossible to return your item within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.

As accurate as that is, I still don't think they give a shit

This shit is going next level gnar.

Not good at all. I hope everyone gets their money back or at least some fucking skis by next season.

There had to be someone on here who works for a law firm or has a brother that's a lawyer or something, maybe we should start a gofund me to pay for it and have them go against revision, I think the evidence is clear. at first I was on team revision but now that they've had the skis for months and people still don't have their skis that bull shit.

This thread is busted. Every time we make it to a new page, the new page doesn't show up until some number of posts are made on the new page. Bump.

Well there is a god, just received and email today back from revisions customer service saying

"We wanted to send you a message to let you know that we are very sorry for any issues you may have had with receiving your order this season. This season saw us making a number of significant process changes, which resulted in many issues that were not anticipated. We have been working to prevent these issues from happening in the future and are committed to resolving any outstanding issues you may have with your order. If you have any outstanding issues that need resolution, please send them to us via this form and we will work with you to resolve your issues in a timely manner."

Lol at the timely manner part

Just got an email:

Sincerest Apologies,

Revision Skis"

Except they said nothing about me actually GETTING my skis because I still have nothing.

LOL Holy shit finally just seeing this thread.

I had such an awesome experience with revision ...last year.... as I preordered their skis for like $250 and then got another pair when I lost like over a foot of edge a month later. The skis were fun however, the durability was 100% ass, but hey $250 for 2 pairs of skis? Fuck it!

Went with the same plan again this year and holy mother of god that was the worst financial decision of my life. Talked to those mother fuckers on the phone after they didn't respond to my 30 emails and that piece of shit told me on the phone I'd have my money that week, tried to call them again a week later and never got an answer. FINALLY got that customer service email today and immediately filled out that Google Doc. form. Ski season is over so it would be nice to at least kick off summer with $380 because fuck those piece of shit skis, I seriously I broke 2 pairs of them within like 15 days of skiing last season.

Overall, skis suck and the company sucks. Even if they make this right and I get my money back which at this point I honestly doubt will happen they left a horrible taste in my mouth and I hope they all get AIDS. But before you die of the AIDS at least give me my $380 back.

Hey there,

We have couple pairs of past seasons skis left at our warehouse which we'd be happy to give away to the ones of you who didn't get their skis this year. Hopefully it helps and you can get some days in before the season ends or over the summer.

Just send us an email at info@factionskis.com with a proof of purchase, and we'll send you a pair if we have a size/model that suits you.

I donno dude, seems like a nice offer, I'm not sure Faction has anything to say "sorry" about

...but you might

I have a pair of lightly used future spins (maybe 10 days? they're mint), no edge cracks. If you're in Salt Lake and revision fucked you over, bring a proof of purchase and a handle of gin to my house and they're yours

Good man right here

I know I'm late to the party here, but I have been checking back in on this situation randomly.

I can't even imagine how much this sucks for everyone who didn't get skis this year. However, it is so dope to see how many companies/people are stepping in to hook people up - from Logan to Faction to random shops to Dan Brown. This situation is absolute balls, but it's shed some light on the real reason the ski community is so awesome, those that really care about it, step up and help out others in need so they can get out there and shred. So to those that have offered up discounts, free skis, whatever, you're the real heroes of this, cause let's be real, you didn't have to, so for that, I thank you!
