Revision Messed Up

I ended up sending Revision the following email yesterday -

"I'm just following up on my ski order that was placed back in August 2016.

I received an email expressing that my order was complete 2 weeks ago (23rd February). As at today's date, I'm still yet to receive a tracking number for the order (or an update of any sort).

For your reference, my order number is ****

Would you please be able to let me know how the shipping of my order is progressing."

Surprisingly they got back to me!? however it was with a response that showed that they didn't not even read one line of my email. Response was as follows -

"We have received your new skis at our warehouse in Denver and are in the process of shipping skis out for all orders received.

When your skis have been packaged up for shipment, you will receive an email update showing your order as 'completed'. Then, you will receive a tracking number for your shipment via email once they are picked up by the carrier."

Thanks revision, for telling me exactly what I had already written in the email i sent through.

10/10 effort for trying to get the company back on track by changing consumer perspectives....

Hey man, I got good news for ya. Your skis have been packaged in Colorado. At some point you'll receive a tracking number.

In the same boat as you dude I got that email weeks ago but yet my skis have yet to come. I found their phone number(the one that's listed on the Better Buisness Bureau website) 720-608-0251 might call them up later this weekend and see what's up with my skis

You have to be kidding right? If you haven't talked to you CC company or bank yet, it's time. All you need to do is show them this thread and they will reverse the charges. I can understand why the kids in this thread think they might get skis, optimism is a young mans game. Your banker will know exactly what the truth is when he reads this. These guys are not going to pay back the money. They aren't going to ship you skis. If you don't go through your bank you will never see that money again. They set this business up as an LLC like they have every other time they've walked away from tens of thousands of dollars in liability. That LLC insulates them. You can make the fraud argument to surpass the LLC, which the banks may be doing as we speak (how many chargebacks must revision have by now, 100s?- those bankers don't f around), but it's unlikely to work.

-They claim they shipped back a full order of perfectly good skis with poplar cores....to asia... so that they could face 100s of chargebacks???? BS, doesn't even come close to passing the sniff test

-They dropped all communications entirely

-They are shipping without a return shipping address

-They are not offering refunds

-They are shipping skis people have repeatedly requested they do not ship

-They offered up a coupon that isn't real, just to buy time

-They are giving "order complete emails" and not shipping for weeks

On top of that all- they still are selling skis on their website. Takes some guts to rip people off this hard.

If you can't read between the lines it's your own damn fault. Every day you wait to contact your bank is your money getting further away from you and these guys getting more and more away with it.

Also- if SofaKingSick isn't one of Wanrooy's aliases, he needs to rethink his whole life.

You dingus you think I haven't tried contacting my credit card company? They said since it was past 60 days they wouldn't do anything about it. Contacted the FTC and the BBB and haven't heard anything from them. I'm up a creek without a fucking paddle dude I've run out of options, I'm stuck with these skis (which still have yet to show up after weeks of saying "

Whoops, anyway it's been a couple weeks since I got the BS email saying "your order has been completed" and still nothing here's pretty much nothing I can do since they refuse to respond to my emails.

Your cc company will most definitely have a fraud department to handle this. The fct that its been 60 days and you still dont have the product is even more reason why they would help you.

Also done.

Update: I received my Blink skis from Fedex here in France around the beginning of March, but have had issues with the postal service getting hold of them until last week so only have a few days on them.

It would be pretentious of me to talk in any length about them, but to me they seem a very 'fun' ski in the sense that they're never working against you. They're easy to initiate turns; also to get on edge for 105mm skis; they have very springy tails and reasonably stiff tips. There's no real powder here in the Alps but I'd image they'd float just fine. They're fine in general actually, as Skis go, and I've been enjoying them a lot and would even venture to say they're very good skis.

I feel like the colours on the graphic are a bit faded compared to what I was expecting, and they feel a bit thin and nowhere near the solidity of my Jskis in terms of what feels like build quality. It could just be they're designed with different goals in mind and the weight/thickness is a part of that.

If any one has any questions, fire away; I haven't seen any Blink reviews online or heard of anyone getting them. I'm glad I have them, even after all this.

I got the email most people got at the start of Feb saying the order was 'complete', then a second email later that said it had been shipped and gave the tracking ID. Wish you the best of luck man!

You got a pair all the way in france before I got mine when I live an hour away from their warehouse?! I even offered to pick them up but of course no response so I canceled it on the 6th.

Yeah it's pretty fucked man. I think it's also evidence that they're either shipping skis randomly or at the very least at their convenience rather than their infuriated customer base's.

Maybe just turn up at the warehouse and see what's up.

When did you place your order?

Mid Jan if you can believe it. :

So for those scoring at home:

-Revision is still selling skis.

-They are shipping full price skis ordered in January ahead of the preorders that came through in August. Across oceans no less.

-They used your preorder money to buy skis, and they are selling them to someone else if they are willing to pay a higher price. Even if you get your skis, they have obviously put you at the back of the queue.

I hope this page of the thread gets read in a courtroom someday. Fuck Bill Wanrooy.

Firstly - congrats on getting your skis, at least some people are getting theirs (not intending this to sound salty at all). You'd probably be breathing a huge sigh of relief.

It's just a huge kick in the teeth of those who ordered last August.

If I lived anywhere remotely close to Colorado, I would have gone directly to the office to see where everything was up to (N.B. I'm from Aus).

Revision have published the following address on their Terms & Conditions page on the website: 8601 W Cross Dr. F5

#145

Littleton, CO 80123

Anyone who lives close feel like being a legend and going down there to get an update on whats going on?

Dan needs to set revision straight. If someone in FRANCE is receiving their skis they ordered mid January before everyone who preordered in August is simply bullshit. I have lost all respect for them.

I live in Denver. Went to that address. It's a P.O. Box. I have a hunch they don't have a physical office whatsoever. I wouldn't be surprised if no one that works for Revision does so as a full-time job, but rather on the side. I have been in contact with the shippers out of Aurora (about a 15 minute drive from Denver) and apparently they cannot pick the orders until they are told to do so by a contact at Revision.

So, back in September I was looking around for a new pair of skis for this season. After hours of searching, someone recommended revision skis. They look sick so I got them for a sick deal during the pre-sale. There was only one slight issue, the skis ship date was "mid November" although that was kinda annoying I knew I wouldn't be skiing at all between now and that time. Fast foward almost 3 months and I still havent heard from them, so I sent them an email regarding the shipping. They said that they would contact me in the next week for an Update. They sent another email a few days later saying they ran into some issues during production. "Due to some quality inconsistencies, we made the decision to rebuild a good portion of our skis". At that time I was like "ok, well I would rather wait 2-3 more weeks for solid skis then get low-quality skis now". They also said they would send another email in about a week for a new ETA. I got the email this morning and they said the new shipping date would be THE FIRST WEEK OF JANUARY. Thats almost have way into the ski season. I'm disappointed because the skis looked so fun but theres no way im waiting that long.

But thats not all, they also gave me (and all other customers) a $100 coupon to there website. Sure I appreciate them going out of there way to do that because they definitely feel bad abut this whole situation, but $100 is not gonna keep me waiting around for another month and a half. So, what do you guys think. Are any of you guys in the same Boat as Me?

Could this issue possibly be the end of revision?

It sounds like a lot of people are directly impacted.

This site is an opportunity to organize.

Hell yeah! One of their main dealers finally received 100 pairs (or 50 pairs of they only got 100 skis) of skis, right on schedule!

Here's a team rider from today, still on last years skis obviously. Not only do they have god awful service, but the skis beefy-ness and durability seems poor. I was surprised to see literally a top sheet glued to a base, there is like nothing even in the ski. If they messed up this year in "quality control" what the fuck did they mess up, did they glue the base on upside down to hundreds of pairs?

Holy shit that's so bad lol. Assuming the kid only had maybe a season and a half on em?

I think just this season, had multiple pairs last year I know. They haven't been lasting like an outstanding ski, I'm actually pretty surprised they are still going, but they lasted longer than my expectations which are still pretty low
