A NEW MySnowParks is out where people can review snowparks from all around the world, post photos, and much more.

It is only a beta, so any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks! Sounds great. Yeah it should cover every park eventually.

Will be really useful when a lot of people start reviewing and updating information.
 
Oh yeah... this is just the beginning. We are missing a lot of parks in the US in general. But the idea is that everyone chips in with their local knowledge and boom - we end up with one hell of a park database...
 
really sick idea, ill do some reviews in the chilean parks, already did one in valle nevado parkalso might do a park map for it too. :)

Also add you feedback if something is not working as expected. As soon as we have gotten rid of the minor bugs then we will probably go fully live.

And then come the next additions including videos and much more.
 
why does every european park look so fucking sick? and every one has a rope tow right smack in the middle another plus
 
Haha it is probably because you're looking at the best ones. There are many not-so-attractive parks in Europe.

But hey at least we're succeeding with a bit more transparency. This is exactly why we are so motivated to build MySnowParks - because we want to be able to compare parks around the world.
 
yeah if you guys can get all of the parks in there it would be great!, also mere separate by region instead of just the US
 
You should be able to selected "show more" below United States on the "Snowparks" page. This will allow you to select a US state
 
my homemountains park sucks balls.

They shape it once every two months, no joke. The biggest jump the have is a 30 footer, which sucks.

They cant build anything, and their jumps are so sketchy, me and my friends always have to shape everything we wanna hit for the day.

But since they have 15 different rails/boxes, that we only need to shape abit to hit, I'll give them 1,5/5
 
There seems to be a problem with users signing up using a hotmail address. The confirmation email often ends up in the spam folder.

We are trying to solve it.

Let us know if you signed up and never received a confirmation email...
 
I signed up so i could add a resort, but when I try to get the form it says I need to sign up or login, which I have already done.
 
cool idea, it will be sweet once more contributions start. A couple of things that would be good:

- better organization of the parks on the snowparks page, you should be able to look by map or at least by region, as of right now it's pretty much just broken down by country

- forums for each mountain, and you should be able to register as a local at any mountain, leave comments, get to know other people etc

good job though I like it!
 
thats gunna be a problem do it wiki style and check the posts people makepeople can review their own parks much better than somebody who hasnt been there much

You can currently select states in the US, but we're looking at narrowing it down to a more regional level.

We have thought about forums for each mountain and we have so far implemented Discussions for each resort and its parks. There you can ask questions and at some point we will probably have "local experts" that maintain each resort page and answer questions. But of course everyone can respond.

So we're working in the right direction! But we have many other ideas too :)
 
Yeah we're definitely into the whole wiki style thing. We do have a completely open system now where all users can edit all content.

So you can go to your local resort page and edit any details, upload photos and much more.

It is only the addition of new resorts/parks that is currently not open. But we might as well completely open that up.

Hopefully at some point we will cover all the relevant parks and it will not be important to be able to add new ones.

I'll add some stuff into Canada Olympic Park once they have theirs all set up. Should be an amazing park this winter with the Canada Halfpipe and other teams training there.

We got a few bugs fixed and are still adding new little details all the time.

We had to make a change so you can now only review parks when signed in. It also makes more sense that you can see the user who reviewed. This way we will avoid spammy reviews.

Let me know if you have any feedback that we should consider!
 
We are looking for "local experts" that will become moderators of a specific resort. This should preferably be someone who is riding the park almost everyday and knows what's going on.

More info to come, but if you're interested sign up and start updating your resort and parks.

It is hard to grow something like this from scratch, but with your help it will work out.
