Revelstoke Conditions

Hey guys. Im going out to Revelstoke on Thursday and wanted to know how things are. My uncle lives out there and says they havent gotten the snow they normally do. Im from Ontario so I am used to ice, but I would be pretty disappointed if I got out there to find similar conditions. Is there some powder? Also, would there be alot more powder if I went Cat Skiing? Thanks

the whole southern half of the province is in a drought right now that's about a month deep. that being said, it is snowing outside my window right now.... but the forecast isn't looking too great. At least it's trying to snow again though.

I went cat skiing at Retallack on Tuesday and it was super sick... we had to hike a bit to get to the goods, 'cause the stuff right off the cat track has obviously been skied over the past month. We had a solid crew and the guides liked us so, as I said, we did some hiking, went to some "harder" runs and had a great day. I would think though that the cat skiing from Revelstoke itself wouldn't be as good - put to an Ontarian, could be the time of your life.

If you can, I'd suggest you just hold up, things could be completely different in two weeks.

revy is just fine, theres more than enough snow to ski on and lots hidden if you know where to look. cat skiing is down right now because of the lack of snow and people poaching catskiing terrain. but its always good here.

Was there on Monday, top half is fine to ski on, so was the bottom just a little slippy in places but then I was on Anthems that haven't been tuned all season.

Supposedly they got 18cm the day after we left and it was snowing in the afternoon.

I really enjoyed it and there was still a fair bit of snow off in the trees in patches.

Thanks for the replies. I'm here right now staying with my uncle who lives here. The skiing was amazing for my standards and we still found some powder. My uncle is a local so he knows the good spots.
