if you dont care to read this, florida and michigan democrats are scheduling their primaries before jan 22, before the earliest primaries which have always been new hampshire and iowa. this is fucking lame because their rationale is "candidates should care more about us" where do you draw the line? why not schedule them for december, or november? well the democratic candidates are all refusing to campaign there if they go through with this. but they are gonna do it anyways, and sue the democratic party, which is ridiculous. why are these fucktards shooting my party, their own party, in the foot?

its bad enough we have had campaigning going on earlier than ever before, which makes this presidential race more about the power of the dollar than ever.

according to the new hampshire consititution, the state must have the first primary in the nation. not including caucuses, so i don't think they'd be able to jump the gun like that, but you make a good point about where to draw the line.

This thread is walking a knife edge of going into complete and utter shit, but before it does, heres my take on the actual issue that was brought up:

Its not going to pass. Despite the fact that some douchebag politicians have once again made this a partisan issue, setting these primaries earlier defeats the fucking point of having primaries. Setting them earlier wont help the public decide on a candidate, it would just cause more non-resolution and bickering over the said winner within the party itself. So no, its a stupid idea and I believe that enough intelligence still exists in our government to stop this from happening.
