from some of the post on here, it seems lots of people dont really respect all the forms of skiing. especially racing. racing has brought so many newschoolers onto the scene (jon Olsson)and theres so many people bashing them on here. there are lots of people (especially at my hill)who throwdown in the park but can barely make it to the lift. im kinda new to this site (its been about 5 months) and ive seen bashing of all kinds of skiing. its kinda sad. enjoy the sport to its fullest. take a day out of the park and learn to tele. go for a hike, or run some gates. i dont care if you can throw huge 1260 backflips, that doesnt make you a good skier. learn the sport not just the park. and remember...

thhey man...this is new schoolers. 'new school skiing' don't get me wrong, i give my props out to tele's and longboarders cuz they tight. I HATE RACERS. it doesn't look like fun, ya'll wear nasty spandex that none of us wanna see and you guys think ur the shit. yeh the shit just for weavin in and out of some flags. try throwin down a flat spin or a switch 9. that's hard shit. not 'hittin the gates'. it's like ya think ur better than us park riders or some back country jibbers when in your words were all tryin to do the same thing. i think i would rather hang out with a boarder than a racer. that's my POV and the way i see it and how it's goin down.

i hate all these ignorant people...If someone races it's kind of obvious they're not going to be as good as some huckers and You put a freestyler in a course theyll get fucked up...Skiing in one domain kind of sucks, getting into all aspects of skiing is the way to go. Bumps, racing, and new school - And i mean, whatever you do don't hate some skier cause hes just some 'gay racer' - hate him cause hes a arrogant little fuck, dont take it out on someones domain...And plus everyone brings up the spandex, what the fuck... you idiots fucking think that we take pride in the damn thing, like we ski around in it and are just like 'we're the shit' -ill be the first one to say it sucks...yeah i can ramble on for a long time but whatever...i think ill start a new post

Yeah racers aren't bad...some of them are even really good in the park. Don't diss them because of the spandex

The mountain is free. Ski down it however you like. Whatever your style or whatever your mood do as you wish. This is why skiing is so cool because you have freedom.

I'll ski what I'm feeling in the mood for. I've been loving the park lately so I've been sticking in it. Don't forget about the rest of the mountain too, there are many other great aspects of skiing besides just the park.

I wouldn't be a racer but those people love what they do. They have a great time entering competitions and competing against each other. I won't rip on them for it.

Wow if you think racing isnt hard you have problems and need to try it. To be good takes a lot of talen t training, time and skill, kinda like newschool skiing. Wierd huh, dont rip on something you have never tried

I fully respect every aspect of skiing because I've tried every aspect of skiing. Backcountry, racing, freestyle, moguls, telemark, etc. Anyone who says that one particular aspect of skiing sucks just hasn't tried it. Those of you who make fun of racers who wear g-suits, they can just as easily make fun of you in your $700 DNA jacket/pant setup. You wanna make fun of them for obsessing over what temperature wax to use, they can make fun of you for obsessing over the weight of your setup, or for center-mounting your skis. It really doesn't matter what you're doing. They're all a bunch of different ways to get down a hill with snow on it.

As has been said before, go out on a NASTAR course sometime and see exactly how long a half a second is. Or go telemarking and fall on your ass while going like 3 mph. Or go out and ski a 60 degree pitch with 15 inches of snow on it before you make fun of those 'gay big-mountain parts in movies'.

To me, the reason skiing is (and will continue to be) such a successful sport is because if you take advantage of all the different varieties, you'll never grow bored.

my intire crew waited for his ass at the bottem of the hill and beat the shit out of him. i broke his poles agianst a tree, and we snapped one of his skis. fucker got uppercutted so much. he was bleeding from his eyes and shit, crying like a little pussy. i busted out a body slam on his ass and broke both of his arms. the ski patroler broke up the fight and clipped all of our tickets. we where gonna beat the shit out of the patroller but my mom came to pick us up.

look, i have a mate in school who races, its like not about there skiing, its there personality, like hes all protentious, n tight ( not good tight) you no all no no no you know,,, its not there skiing its there attitude but sometime there can be not so 'tight' racers
