here's the mom part-

When reached in Montana by phone Friday, Hall’s mother, Darla Hall,

said her son is filming a new movie with former professional mogul

skier Johnny Decesare and Poor Boyz Productions. She defended her son

and said his accomplishments “speak volumes” for his character.

“He has done loads for his sport — he’s a great kid,” she said.

“He has a lifestyle that’s not everyone’s lifestyle, but I back

Tanner 199 percent,” Darla Hall said. “He’s not the only athlete out

there that smokes marijuana. ... They all do it.”

thats so chill. if only all parents understood that there's nothing wrong with drinking or smoking as long as you are getting shit done
 
no, the logical explanation is that her son is very succesfull at what he does so there's no need to question his decisions

It amuses me that the reporter tried to gain some type of a disapproving response by putting her on the spot like that. He's 25, let the man do whatever he wants.
