I'm stealing this from that other dude who add the idea but adding to it. For searching for members there should be more fields, like, not just searching for username but searching by resort or something else or something or something elsening.

I got an idea we could add to this site. As it seems a lot of people here live for skiing and like to travel around their country and the world it would be good to know about other resorts/mountains.

Perhaps it could be in the review section, like a database about resorts not just about their snow and terrain but also the ease of getting a job, how expensive accomadation is, where the nightlife is etc.

Just an idea...

Ooops I see there actually is a resort review thing uder reviews. This is good but could we ahve something a bit more official. What I guess I was talking about above is something where a resort is rated on various criteria rather than one overall.

 
It's a great idea, and I'd like to see that happening on the site eventually. The problem however lies in that someone has to gather all that information and put it into the database.

Sounds easy: just get all the members to do it, but unfortunately it's not that easy.

We should try to work on it this winter. Maybe we can try it out with several resorts that we have visited and such.

We'll see.

yeah I guess the other problem is that people might be biased towards their home mountains/resorts which would sort of defeat the purpose of the exercise, oh well worth thinking about.

 
what if a general summary with information that cannot be from a biased point of view is made? e.g. Joe Blo Resort, 10 rails, 6 hits, 2 halfpipes, 4 lifts, 55 runs, $30 a day, accomodations starting at $80 a night...for more information contact NS members (whoever frequents the resort often).

would be tough to get together, but worth it at the same time.
