Thats not actually all that funny at all. If the officer had said from the beginning "we arent going to arrest you, you've just been speeding and your going to get a ticket" when she was telling who ever it was on the phone that she was being arrested that probaly wouldnt have had to happen. The lady was obviously scared and the cop didnt make things any better by pulling a weapon on her.

Is it normal procedure in the states to tell someone to get out of the car for a speeding ticket?

^uhh she was getting arrested for speeding... once you pass a certain barriar over the speed limit you get arrested and your car is impounded. so if it was speedlimit 20 lets say and she is going 70... more than likely she is getting arrested. i dont know the exact amount you have to be going over the limit but it is probably different in each state. their are other videos at the bottom you can watch.

yah, i didnt see the second one where it goes threw the broken windshild and everything. I thought that was what they did when they first got to the car. It makes more sence now.

he said she was plled over for speeding, broken windshield, taillight out, and no seatbelt. To me he seemed more than appropriate. She however was totally in the wrong. By refusing to close her door, that can be construed as an indirect threat to the officers safety and potential for the girl to run, she then refused to get off her cell phone after repeated orders, and refused to get out of the car. She would have only gotten a ticket if she hadn't been driving on a suspended lisence, too. Then to add that she apparently swung at the 2nd officer, she got what she deserved.

Trust me I have more defiant issues with authority (of any kind) than most people, but there is a difference in demeanor, and some battles are worth fighting and others are worth fighting after. She knew she was speeding (arguing that he couldn't radar her - yes moving radars do exist and are rather expensive and easy to beat in court), she also knew there were issues with her vehicle (at least the broken windsheild), and most likely knew her lisence was suspended (they notify you about a month in advance, unless its suspeneded on the spot by a judge or qualifying offense). She made about every wrong move possible to make. What would have been a fine and a slap on the wrist misdimeanor could now mean jail and felonies added on (resisting arest, disobeying a police order, assault on a cop, etc). In my opinion, some people just get what they deserve.

I believe most states have automatic arrest/impound when the speed limit is doubled (which can be as stupid as doing 40 in a school zone or as much as 130 on a 65 mph highway)

Dloc, you prove again how worthless you are. You do not get arrested for speeding. I had a friend that got pulled over for going 115 in a 45 or something like that. He got his license taken away for 2 months. That can't take your car either, just your license.

maybe atlantaski wants michael innocent cuz he was molested by him 4 years ago when his dad sent him to neverland ranch for a day and now he wants michael free so he can penetrate one more time-Lateralis
