Research paper topics

hey so i have an honors world history paper coming up and i really need help picking a topic. my teacher gave me the assignment and its practically this:
- time period: 1450 to 1950 can be about anything just can't be US history but anywhere else is ok.
i have been struggling to find a topic im really interested in and could right a 15 page paper about.
+k for the people who give real responses...
 
WWI and WWI and there combined affect on european societies as whole or possibly analyze there affect on an individual country
 
WWII is an interesting topic.. thats what i always did my papers on..

D-Day

battle of the bulge

hitlers downfall/last days

Auschwitz

japanese torture of POWs

idk if you find that stuff interesting tho.
 
yeah i was thinking D-Day but i wasn't sure how to put "clash" in the paper
my idea was dday was the turning point of WWII for the allied forces in europe but i don't know what to look for when researching for that..
 
Dick winters, (band of brothers), would be an interesting topic, but it would be tough to top band of brothers.. of you could just use him as an example...

or operation market garden and its failure and why it failed..

I always pick Vlad the Impaler for papers on this time period because my grandmother was born in the same town Vlad is from in Romania.
 
The rise of communism in soviet Russia is fascinating. Easy to relate it to world politics too if you talk about the other communist countries of the cold war era.
