Nah that doesn't sound weird it sounds fucking retarded. How in the world does that appear apealing to you? What, do you want to be a strung out junkie who does shows to cop? Or how about in jail? Or going through the worst rehab ever...and missing an arm?

And yes it essentially was speed. Mixed of course with not eating any food and falling into a delusional state probably brought on by the extreme hunger and addiction.

The last 5 jminutes of the movie had possibly the biggest effect on me then most movies combined, between ass-to-ass, apumtation, and elecro-shock my hwead almost blew up

yeah they showed it at our school, they had this whole big discussion over whether to show it or not but then they just said your all old enogh and they sent us into the caf and we all got freaked out

 
This movie wasn't just about drugs, it was about addiction and what it can do to you. Dependance is a scary thing, and it was portrayed very well in the movie.

 
Def. a profound movie that hits some people pretty hard. Dependence is a scary thing.

amazing movie. very well done and hard hitting. i think they should abolish the D.A.R.E. program and make 4th graders watch that movie, as im sure they would be scared shitless and not even wanna touch that stuff.

the movies about living out the american dream. hence 'requiem for a dream', its about living life to the fullest, doing everything you wanted, then in the end having no regrets. Well there sure was alot of regrets in that movie. It seriosuly should be shown in school to kids. Most people arent going to ever try heroin and speed isnt very popular, but it shows well what addictions can do to you. SCARY. On the flip side though, I am easily if not more that addicted to skiing. The mountains gave me life, if they take it away from me, so be it. is a better way to go then cancer.
