Pretty much self explanatory, definitely a must watch for anyone following the GOP candidates as well as anyone who lives in America or for that case anyone in the world who wants to. Tonight at 8:00 EST on CNN (its another youtube questions debate). Should be good although I'm not a fan of Anderson Cooper!

This is the thread to talk about (before and after) the debate.

Who cares? It's not like they are going to say anything truthful or with sincerity. Debates are just a medium where candidates suck up to the American people and try to be the wittiest. It's all the same bullshit you've heard a thousand times.

it always is, but its good to see the candidates be put on the spot, or to see a couple of them actually debate. A lot of times they get caught up and have to explain themselves. Just look bast all the bs and it's definitely worth watching. And I know of at least two guys who won't be lying up there, no I'm not mentioning names. It is important I think and you should watch it.

I'll end up watching it, but considering I pretty much disagree with everything they have to say I'll be picking apart everything they say in my head.

same here. it's still worth it. the other great thing is watching how unfair the questions are. just watch who they give the most time and the easiest questions. happens every time.

I have endless amounts of scorn and contempt for the Republican party. Their brash and callous actions will echo for decades.

The usual BS about I did this I'm so awesome...although I think McCain just said that if Ron Paul was elected WWIII would come about.

Although I agree with you on that, I think Paul is rediculous for some of his ideas. It seems like the only thing he ever says is get rid of government institutions. Ok lets get rid of them....then what?

Romney is such a douche. He's basically saying he wants to keep sending people to Guantanamo and torture them.

Do You Believe Every Word of The Bible?

That question proves to me exactly why I will never vote for a republican for president.

I never noticed before but he really is a dick. He's being a bastard to all the other candidates, its kinda funny though.

On another note, is it just me or does McCain look like he's been out in the sun too long?

Yeah, it was either the sun or the 5 and half years of brutal torture that he went through as a POW in North Vietnam.

Ron Paul isnt getting much coverage at all unfortunately.

Basically all of the other candidates are setting themselves up for failure. None of them even compare to Ron Paul. They are obviously ignoring CNN

Ron Pauls "commerical" was badass.

the last question he got was unfair but he came out looking good.

as for the two people who are honest up there: Ron Paul and although I don't like his views, Huckabee is an honest guy.

^^^ i agree with that as a democrat.

I hope for are countrys sake that you nominate huckabee (paul wont be nominated), he will be hard to beat but is the only one besides paul that i respect.

Fuck Mike Huckabee, he will not be nominated before Paul.

Huckabee can barely raise 1 million dollars in a MONTH, HE DOEST HAVE REAL SUPPORT.

Ron Paul raised 4.3$ Million in 24 hours, nuf said.

i didn't get to see this, i don't have cable.  did anyone ask them about environmental policy?

well Huckabee actually has a lot of support. He has all the evangelical and creationist Christians (the whole James Dobson crowd) and if he shows he can keep a lead ahead of McCain, with Guiliani declining he has a good shot at the nomination. Ron Paul on the other hand, all that matters is how he does in Iowa. If he fails there then he has nothing, but right now he has a good percentage and a good result there could start a "snowball effect". Should be interesting.

wow. he really did. 15,000 votes compared to the 2,800?  what a wide margin.  that's pretty interesting and impressive information right there.

I'm going to copy almost every single post in this thread in one sentence.

"Hey guys, I'm jumping on the Ron Paul bandwagon!"

I have one question.

How would our country run without the government, which in turn cannot run without taxes?

"most" republicans contribute to global warming

global warming = less and less snow

all politicians lie, so basically we're picking the best out of the worst which is obama hands down.

You realize "most" democrats, and in turn, "most people" contribute to global warming? Everyone fucking contributes to it in someway, to say republicans only do is ridiculous. Your making Obama look terrible.

WTF? Who mentioned no government? Ron Paul and the REAL conservitive way is for SMALL and effiicient government. It needs to be downsized, we are wasting to much money and the government is out of control currently.

You didn't answer the question. Ron Paul advocates in removing the IRS, the institution that takes care of the taxes. There couldn't be any kind of government/government institutions without taxes/revenue.
