Replacing Raichle Flexon lower buckle w FT buckle?

My lower buckle on my right boot is busted. When I go to buckle it down, it stays tight until just before it latches down, then it will slide up and become loose to the point where the buckle pulls no tension over my toe area. I can take pics if necessary.

My question is is it possible (I know it is with FTs) to take a full tilt buckle and swap it onto my flexon boot? How do I take the original broken buckle off?

need a pic. some of the old raichle's have a different position for the screws for a new buckle.

You can use a full tilt replacement buckle....but...on the Raichle the buckle is riveted on. You will have to drill or cut that rivet to get the old buckle off. Then to put the new buckle on, you may need to get creative with a small bolt and nut to attach the buckle because the full till uses a screw that wont work on the old hole where the rivet was.

I dont know what you mean by this. I have no money in my budget for new boots (even used). So I would much rather jerry rig something.

Plus they got a brand new FT classic liner and boosters. So it makes more sense, to me at least, to just slap a new buckle on there.

Dude. Sweet boots. I have the same pair. You could always drill the rivets, and then put new rivets in, shouldn't be too difficult to do.
