Replacement event for WCS?

I have been skiing at mt hood/tline for my whole life basically and WCS has always been a sick event. Seeing all the pros huck themselves on gnarly features in the springtime definitely sparked my interest in park skiing as a young kid too.

Timberlines park crew always does an amazing job of building crazy progressive features, but it has always felt like a pretty serious media event where people are trying to get crazy tricks.

Next year I think it would be dope to have a turnt up version of WCS, basically like a stupid "competition" with really dumb/fun categories like most stalled out handplant, john brogan steeze contest (do a trick with hands down and slumped over all steezy), fastest kfed, chinese downhill through the flowpark, the possibilities for hijinx on mt hood are endless.

I just think it would be really funny and refreshing to go from this big event full of progressive park skiing, to having a "competition" where everybody gets together at tline for a week or so to try and win the glory of being the gnarliest skier on the mountain.

^^^^^^

Newschoolers Week at timberline, week long membership gathering. That would be beyond dope

Why not just have an official/unofficial ns meet up?

still would have to organize the event with timberline and ensure that all liabilities are covered. It costs money to put things together even unofficial ones. Does anyone remember the tittyboy invitational at tline last year?? Chances are you don't because it was wack and pointless they had like 10 people show up for a disappointment. Tline is all about letting groups do what ever they want but you gotta pay up front to get there.

Pretty sure like 30 people came out. Everyone that showed up got free shit. We gave out tall tees, hats, etc... Not to mention 2 pairs of skis. I don't think anyone was too disappointed with it considering afterwards multiple people told us it was the funnest day they'd had all season. We didn't pay timberline and we had a tent and signs on hill.
