Repeal of the 22nd? Could Obama get a third term?

well that congressman is retarded, the 22nd was enacted to prevent one person from holding power for an elongated period, so that there essentially are no dictators
 
It won't be. We're passed the days were we had great presidents, that people passionately voted for. Nowadays voting is a chore, and a lot of people chose Obama because they are to lazy for change. And mean come on, Romney isn't a great alternative.
 
Im not sure you know what a dictator is.

Regardless, it would need to be another amendment, approved by 2/3rds of the house and senate and 2/3rds of the states. That will never happen.

We did design our constitution to be changed, however made sure that it was rather difficult to do so.

Won't happen. I don't think he would want another term. He seems really tired after just one term.
 
I dunno. A lot can happen between now and 46 months from now.

Pretty easy bet the economy will be back, and that means a lot. Add in immigration reform and round it out with a balanced budget and he'd be formidable. Although Christie, if he gets the nomination will give any opponent a run for his or HER (foreshadowing???) money.
 
comon guys, we all know that he meant some sort of a de-facto dictator, no matter the "official" term for the system.

there are tons of democratic systems today and in history which are de-facto controlled by a dictator.

What makes you think the American people will vote for that obese glutton? When has a fat fuck been elected in recent times (noone since television was invented) there is no way he'd win.

Christie is disgusting to look at. Being a bit more articulate than most prominent republicans doesn't change that. He'd need a fuck load of liposuction and dieting to stand a chance. And he's hardly moderate dudes a tea party type republican.

Biden should win pretty easily. If he was 5 years younger it wouldn't even be a question.
