Rent in Whistler

like $8452147658554485 dollars.

No really it depends on what you are looking for.

Staff accom is pretty cheap like $8-14 a night but you get what you pay for...

A room in a nice house/condo is prob going to run you minimun $400 most likely in the $550+ range that is if you aren't sharing...

It also depends on when you move to a place. You can usually find cheaper stuff in the summer when landlords are finding it a bit harder to fill space. In the late fall when everyone is moving here and in the winter it is much harder to find affordable accom.

Check the pique for sure.

Yeah the Pique will give you a good idea of what the going rates are. Also it depends how long your going to be there, they don't want to know about you if your only going to hang around for a few months (unless your willing to pay more).

Prob looking between 400 - 600 though, also depends on the number of people in the place you are staying, if you can get a big house with heaps of people then that will help keep your costs down.

If you can end of April/May is prob a good time to look coz that is when a lot of people move out.

Just hand your resume into as many places as you can, all the big hotels have dedicated human resource departments where you can fill out forms, your bound to get a few interviews that way. House keeping might not be the best job but it can keep you going for a couple of weeks until a better offer comes up.

But yeah, once again, check out Pique, its free and therefor a worth while investment.

Oh yeah forgot to mention another good resource. Check out the Whistler Chamber of Commrece, it's located above the info centre, and helped me land a job. There are jobs posted on their noticeboard as well as some accom. Also there is free internet!

If your looking for jobs with the mountain (prob not really relevant until October) head up to the Cabin at Base II on Blackcomb.
