I was wondering where the best ski resort with good cliffs and lots of powder and a really good park was around Reno. How far is it to the resort. Thanks

i'm living in reno right now cause of school. i ski at alpine meadows... personally i think it's the best resort around. tons of cliffs to drop, steap terrain, huge kickers in the park. :) it's about 50min away. next door to that is squaw. northstar is about 45min away. you can also ski at mnt. rose which is only 30 min. it all depends on what part of reno you live in.

northstar, alpine, squaw, boreal and sugar bowl are all within like 45 minutes. squaw is definately best for extreme skiing, but its expensive...alpine is good too and cheaper.

All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz and I'm fine.

Don't underestimate the Chutes at Mt. Rose. They're so much fun. Reno is a great place to live to ski. Alpine and Squaw dominat the North lake terrain. Save your money on a season pass and buy a sled. There's so much bc stuff to just go out and explore. Dump 35 bucks into your tank and ski from sun up to sun down and build your own jump.

get the double whammy pass to northstar and sierra, then get the season pass to alpine meadows. Very affordable and it is all withing 45 minutes of Reno. Alpine has awesome b/c and a good park. Northstar has a very good park and a great superpipe but is rather weak in the b/c area. Sierra I'm not a big fan of but they too put up a decent park towards late february and march. So all in all you've got everything you want and it shouldn't cost you more than $600 for the season. Not bad I'd say.

and more, much more than this, I did it my way

Bienvenidos a la casa del Cackuii!

reno is bunk everyone don't listen to them come up here to AK we have gots shitloads of powder and Pete O and the TGR crew came up here and filmed in out back yards.

I live in a place far far away, where on occasion the telly tubbies will come to play....and that's when Ma gets out the shotgun. Damn critters climb in our gutter system all the time.

When you live in Reno you can ski anywhere in Tahoe, they are very lucky!

Though I personally love Heavenly and Kirkwood, Kirkwood is more of a ride for you out of Reno. For everything you are looking for, I would agree that you should go to Squaw or Alpine...Alpine is great and cheaper than squaw.

We'll have you dead pretty soon.

should of bought your pass in may... mine was 239 for siearra/n starr and it is used at snoqaulmioe but u cant ski on saturdays which it is gay to ski those ne way
