I am spending next winter in one of these locations, having trouble deciding. Anyone wanna throw me some advice. I like park but suck, so I want to improve a lot next year, and who doesn't like steeps. So I an kinda looking for some of everything. Any help would be great.

Go to Park City and meet some park rat homies and become part of their crew you'll get real good if you try hard.. go there for real if you don't like steeps....

First of all, its bozeman.

Second if you live in park city you will get better at park. PC also has some decent pow and steep stuff too.

park city is dope. you have the sick park and some good pow stashes as well. then if you really wan to rip big mountain you have brighton, solitude, alta, and snowbird all within like 40 minutes.

reno or tahoe is good for every thing , but you have to get 2 passe to get it all. That is unless you can afford a squaw pass which comes out to about 2 normal pass prices.

word, PC may not have the best steeps or the best park but both are real nice and you will def get way better by skiing here.

MONTANA SUCKS!! horrible snow and big sky has the worst skiing/snowmobiling ever. this place is down the drain. dont come trust me!!

im gonna say that its a tie between bozeman and park city bozemand has bridger and part city had everything ranging from park to good trees but a plus on park city is that ur close to alta/snowbird

if you're looking to for a good college party scene, reno is pretty legit for that. also, i think it was rated # 3 or something like that in freeskier last year for urban, so that could be a deff plus if you're about that. there are some down sides to reno tho. if you were to do it make sure u live by the university or west there of cause it gets a little scummy to the east. south reno is pretty sick too. tahoe is off the hook in the summer too so dont forget about that. dunno man, reno is sick, but so are those other places. u have a hard decision on your hands.

haha hella yea Cabelas is super sick!
ha but seriously reno has it all. I guess the kid above me said it was #3 in Freeskier for urban, but i read #2 in transworld. So either way its sick for that. also how could you beat 30 mins from lake tahoe, prolly the (dont call me gay for saying this) most beautiful place in the country.
PC would be sick too.
My friend from tahoe went to school in bozeman this year. Well lets just say hes already back and going to University of Nevada Reno after a semester there.

dude baker and bozeman are not nearly as touristy as places like PC and Tahoe. Might as well get more cash for your resort by advertising it...

Yes. Exactly.

I should WANT to add to the lift lines and put more money into the hands of the shareholders who forced out many locals from ownership with a reverse stock split.

That is why I should advertise for my area.

I'm not talking about Montana. I'm talking about the huge areas that already have all the people. The tourists can go there, rather than the places that aren't so touristy like Baker and most places in MT.

REE-NO

seriose. Most legit of the three by far for the overall best mix of park and steeps and being close to both.

plus can you say casinos!!! ....bad decisions and plenty to do when you can go.

and and a side not. We just got 12 feet of snow in 3 days and it's still snowing.....

i can give 25 good reasons for reno..

1. Right by lake tahoe

2. Close to like 10 resorts

3. Squaw and Heavenly for big mountain

4. Northstar and Boreal for park

5. Can get double whammy pass to northstar and some other place on south shore of tahoe for $350

6. Reno has dope urbans all over the place

7. Mt. Rose gets the best powder in the usa besides alaska.

8. Clayton middle school is probly the best urbans around.

9. College scene is sick

10. 2 hour drive to mammoth

11. gets big storms

12. some of the steepest terrain in the country besides heli skiing

13. a lot of sick deals on apartments

14. every pass is pretty cheap besides squaw

15. super burrito=best burritos in the entire goddam world

16. lots of sick lakes in the summer for boating

17. CASINOS galore

18. RIB COOKOFF(best ribs in the world come every year during october i think

19. Boreal=top 3 parks in the country i think.

20. North Reno= 30 minute drive to northstar and 50 minute drive to boreal

21. South reno= 15 minute drive to Mt. Rose, 25 minutes to Diamond peak and 50 min. drive to squaw

22. south shore at tahoe= super fun during all seasons

23. kirkwood pretty close

24. gets at least 1 foot of snow on the valley floor every year....perfect for urbans

25. Reno= BIGGEST LITTLE CITY IN THE WORLD!!!!

I would say that PC is probably your best bet. There is no park or pipe in Montana that rivals theirs, and you can get your steeps in at Alta, Snowbird, Brighton, etc.

steezy-e well hmm i think i agree with everything on there but two things, and at the airport reno gets 23 inches of snow a year (it was in a unr brochure i got like 4 years ago).
but Ts burritos rival Super Burrito for sure!!
and you forgot about Alpine Meadows, which arguably has the best jumps in the country.
besides that, im curious how long it took u to come up with taht list.

haha i never thought i would be talking about Ts on Newschoolers.
im thinkin of doing a taste test one day with Ts and super burrito.

28. Tahoe is the cleanest lake in North America.
29. Hitch hiking in the area is simple

Park City is the place. You have canyons 4 miles away if you want to avoid some crowds and ski some bc off 9990 and park city has such a cool vibe in the park, it just makes you try so much harder to get better. Also jupiter and mcconkey's are fun before they get tracked (for the steeps)

today at PC i was skiing snow up to my knees. face shots all day! but i mean park city is only good for park right?

Go to Bozeman, you can fly there, and its in montana, where the nicest people are.

the park scene at park city is soooo sick. plus there's plenty of pow n steeps to go around. n if u get bored of it u can drive to a bunch of other resorts close by.

Nope, we're all gay. You'll get bent over by a cowboy as soon as you leave our "airport."

If you want to ski park or party, Bozeman probably isn't for you. But if you backcountry ski, fly fish, mountain bike, or ice climb it's sweet. Both the other places you're looking at have really good skiing (obviously) so the only thing Bozeman really has is a small town atmosphere, fishing, and ice climbing. I'd pick SLC over Bozeman for biking. I don't know much about Reno beyond the fact that I can't picture myself ever living there. But yeah, do a little research about each place and the decision shouldn't be too hard, the areas you're looking at aren't very similar.

31. face shots in the pow all morning

32. sicktor park in the afternoon

33. rad doods like jkutcher who shows all the sweet spots

PC FER SURE

back to the reno argument... how could we forget bout these...
30. 3rd and 4th street is where the action is at, and they are legal ;) (haha reno kids know wut im talkin bout)
31. Nevada is the only state that sells alcohol 24 hours a day

nope, they have to be in a special facility a certain distance away from the city limit and they have to be cleaned and tested all the time.

Calbellas is fucking money. We just got 1.5 of them in Washington. One in Tacoma and one pissing distance from Spokane in Idaho.

Oh also for Reno----how could I forget??

SQUAW VALLEY POWDER DAYS.

squaw seriously has cliffs and steeps off every non green lift (which are most lifts).
