yo so I already have some Moment rubys, getting a pair of m1's really soon for bigmountain comps..

now

I have to choose between the reno Rockers and Bibby pro models as a 3rd ski for park and bc style stuff, now they both have rocker and i want a ski mostly for bc kickers and one that will butter like no other and kinda rides like the k2 hell bents..

has any one skied either of these skis? and give me some tips.? again i want a ski i can progess my bc jibbing with butters in pow presses on pillows stuff like that , that skis with rocker allow u to do ? but still gotta use it for like 30 % of my riding which is riding park and hitting urban drops and wall rides.

Thanks heaps for any imput.. please only postive stuff .

Do the Bibby...

The rockers are more of an all mountain deal. The extra length and width of the JB's will probably work better in the deeper stuff. And by probably I mean for sure will.

^hahahaha ced, it's ok, we're gonna hit up some bc this year promise

but yeah, bibby's are they way to go man, I had rockers last year, and as much as I loved them, I'm riding bibby's because I wanted something that was sort of a mix of the melee/ruby/rocker, the rockers for me weren't wide enough in the pow, and I'm talking about Jay peak powder, which isn't much, so if you're riding out west, you will love the bibby's

what are they like for doing butters and stuff though? the bibbys? and will they work for park?

they are made for BC bc, but they will rip the whole mtn, i've never buttered on them tho, ced might know that one, and yes they will work fine in the park, i'm personally a fan of wider skis in the park anyways, whats the widest you've ridden in the park? but if this is your third ski, dont you already have a park specific ski?

I rock 09 moment rubys in the park and for every thing only ski ive gotten so far from them as i didnt start riding for them till late this past season.. I dont have a park specific ski, it all depends on what moment flows me.. getting m1's for big mountain comps. then contemplating what park ski / bc booter ski to get. but i want a ski with mad rocker thats good for butters. I love extra wide skis for park its the only thing i ride. but im curious to know how good the bibbys are for butters and pressing? are they like the hell bents only a tad stiffer?

mad butter capability. I haven't ridden bents but my Bibbys are suuuper fun for buttering in pow or in the park. I used to ride Rubies in the park as well and this last season started riding the bibbys and they hold up real well. Also they are the ultimate BC booter/jib ski. Really light and easy to move and the with under foot will float you in anything. The only drawback I've had on these is being able to stomp cliffs over 20 or so. Not really sure what it is but I always slide out backseat.. tail rocker..? But from what you've said in the thread the Bibbys seem pretty perfect for you. You will love them in the park and BC for sure.
