Removing leather from spk pros?

Is it possible? cuz it seems like the leather is just a load of dead weight but it looks pretty clean so...
 
Just get one of the lower forms of the spk? I think one of them has an identical or at least similar flex to the pro.
 
How much extra weight do you think they are? I mean, they're not going to make you drop to the earth any quicker while you're in the air.

Do yourself a favor, and don't ruin your boots.
 
yea i guess its not a load of weight but i think even though it might do a bit, i was just wondering if it was possible cumfy boot and all but kinda true the leather doesnt look too good just plain colors or something would make the boot look better i think.
 
yes you can take the leather off. It is riveted to the boot but can be ripped or cut off. henrik, phil and tj all have had pais of spk pros with out leather. they look normal without the leather except they have 3 metal studs on the toes of it.
 
some dude at hood over the summer had this years (black and red ones) without the leather. Looked dope. I have last years and ihave been contimplating taking the leather off for a while.
 
I have the white spks too but i kinda looked underneath the leather and there was a few black parts to the boot aswell as white ones, and i saw tj schiller had taken off the leather in a vid, so i might just take the leather off if its not to much of a hastle cuz i realy dnt wana destroy my boots

i dont have the boots but i always thought the leather was bulky and added weight. the boot looked really fat with the leather on it. Weight wise i know people say not that much added weight initially but i would think that since it is a leather its going to absorb some moisture which would add weight
 
like "iliketoski" said i think initialy its not gona be to bad but after some use it will add a bit of weight to the boot, but other then the look i dono if the leather serves a purpose? like whether on cold days the leather might keep the boot a little more warmer or if it even makes a noticable difference?
