Removing designs off helmets?

I got a giro revolver as a gift View attachment 638199. Unfortunately it has this pink and blue shiz all over it, i was wondering if it was possible to sand it down? but i dont want to wreck the smoothness of the helmet. Are there any other ways to remove the patterns so its only black? Thanks

Not without compromising the integrity. You might be able to spray paint it but it could look like shit. Your best options are to return/exchange it or trade/sell it on here and get a different one

Dying it black is unlikely to do anything. This design is printed onto the helmet. dyes only really affect the base plastic.

Spray paint yo! Before you paint it practice on a piece of wood or something so you can get the right distance between the spray nozzle and your helmet.

If you do spray paint it , make sure you mask off the inner shell inc the bits on the inside of the air holes as this is the main part which protects your head and the paint my degrade it or affect how it reacts to impact. You should keepin mind helmets are a piece of safety equipment first.

Yup, spray paint solvents will definitely eat out the helmets foam. So be aware of that if you decide to spray paint your helmet OP.

Rather than do one thick coat build the colour up in layers and put a clear top coat on it. Try and use the can as vertically as possible so you don't waste propellant and don't spray too close to the helmet or it ends up pooling and looking messy.

spray paint it, then cover up the shitty parts with stickers. also spray very light coats, if they are light enough then each coat should dry within 10-20 minutes.
