Removing Bindings

This probably sounds stupid but do shops use glue or epoxy when mounting bindings? Im trying to take my pivots off and the screws won’t budge and I don’t want to strip them out. If they were glued/epoxied, how would I go about removing the bindings so I can sell the skis?

Try heating the screw up. If you have a soldering iron just touch it to the screw for a little bit.

no there shouldn't be any epoxy or anything holding them in. just make sure you use the correct driver #3 pozi drive

Shops always use wood glue when they screw in the binding screws, no epoxy tho

Get a pozidriv #3 or you can use a big ass philips head. Push hard down on the screw and slowly loosen it. Once it initially breaks lose they are easy to take out

yeah, shop did somthing bad, they just gonna stick a helicoil or similar at best, or just epoxy at worst in there.

This is very important. It can be difficult to find a dedicated #3 pozi screwdrivers at most general hardware stores but much less difficult to find just a p#3 bit that you can use with 1/4 hex screwdriver
