I have to say that to remove any post it should be offensive to people in a big way... and i read that shit that billy wrote and it wasnt bad at all.. he told some people off for being stupid.. i personally know billy and the shit people are saying to him is fucked up. if he didnt defend himself then who would???

I don't think you can because the post was probably deleatde from the database and not turne unviewable (althought I duno how matt set up his code). again everyone shut up and show some respect for everyone else. Last time I checked most people on here didn't know as much about the sport as dirty or levin.

Darryl, I wouldn't say I take my mod job personally, but I do take it seriously. I think the reason for that is because I see how much Matt puts into this site and also I feel I have a pretty good idea of what Matt wants this place to be like, because we talk about it somewhat often.

i am confused as to what prins meant in that earlier post. that what tricks you can do is directly proportional to how well you can run an internet community? besides, dirty doesn't have that large a bag of tricks himself, smoke rings? wow. but that is beside the point. dirty is just as qualified to comment on the site as anyone else but it is harveys site and he has the right to appoint who he thinks will run it the best and everyone else has to accept that because it is his site. regardless of whether you think you could run it better

Ok I'm on this site about 5-8 hours a day (I'm at work and have nothing better to do, so lay off) And i have never had problems with any of these people. I've had a conversation with Dirty and he is a very knowledgable guy and a good person to have on this site. People just need to settle down a little and stop bitching at eveything. Its a web site, sometimes i wonder if its more of a cult. Dirty made some really good points and so did Mike, and maybe some shit got deleted that didnt need to but who cares. Shit happens and it will continue to happen just let it go! I have nothing against new people to the site, i try to show respect to everyone i talk to. I just dont understand why people are getting so upset about this shit.

That includes websites, ski companies, production companies, and maybe sponsors (that gets hard thoug because we gotta fund the movement somehow). So when you say it doesn't matter you are being a stubarn little fuck and it's people like you who are gonna fuck up our sport. Fuck FIS and none ski companies running shit, Oh wow look freeze is run by tim warner. Interesting... Fuck Freeze too. God dam this sport needs help and it should be coming from skiers at heart who would die for the sport.

Yeah, unless a Jewish person found that insulting as an example, I mean yeah, if you say something like that then sure, expect it to get taken off but seeing as it was an example then no worries. I don't think anyone really has a problem with swearing unless it's just random splurted out bullshit that doesn't have a purpose and is generally offensive.

NS.com is not an Anaarchist online society it is a moderated, privately owned and opperated website. Harvey is all-powerful, and if you don't like that, go someplace else. The shibbyness of this online community will not be breached by the constantly sour (you know, those types of people who complain of everything, even not being liked because they're unharmonous whiners, so resort to acting like assholes and try to push people around because they're too impatient to figure anything out). moderators are needed for several reasons:

1. to remove sexually offensive comments

2. to remove commennts promoting drugs

3. to remove posts/responses which are posted for the sole purpose of creating a disturbance (ie 'skiers all suck, snowboaring is better')

the goal of the moderators and Harvey is not to censor everything which is even remotely offensive in any way, but instead, to keep this site fou becoming like the Freeze forum where one cannot post anything without being criticized or insulted.

I think that moderators are necessaryto keep order and the quality of the site from declining. Moderators will make some mistakes from time to time but their overall effect is positive.
