Remounting

I have px12 ti lifters on my foils. can i have them take off the lifters, grind down the screws, and remount in the same holes? or is that a horrible idea

you can get them remounted, but you cant mount twice in the same hole

remounting in the same holes is fine, your choice whether or not you want to do a helicoilas for grinding down the screws, prob not the best idea, you should try to get some new screws because grinding can be very iffy so have someone whose done it before do it

yea just unscrew it, helicoil the holes and youre golden

i wont do it personally ill take em to a shop. are helicoils absolutely necessary?

it would be super easy to do it your self. Just use a power drill and posi bit to take your binding off. Get new screws and put the screws back in be sure not to over torque and use lock tite.

Good point I forgot about that. PM pat_in_the_hat and tell him that I gave you permission to use his house for the remount.

haha aight. i just gotta get screws. actually i think the barn here might have a drill too. ill ask there
