Remounting

Does it weaken ur skis much? I think my bindings are fucked as they slide back when i put my boot it(like your adjusting them)I dont really want to remount as they will snap easier. Especially how there fujas and have the soft butter zones which puts more pressure on the ski.

Your probably safe mountaing twice, unless you have allready beat your skis up, and weakened them. With most skis, three is the number before they have a chance of snapping.

^basically he's right. twice and you will be okay but you have a higher chance of breaking in the center. Also it is worse the heavier you are

yea, it might be because he has asian in him, but tanaka is more funny than that andy faggot. i'd probably watch the chinese tanaka show.

i first mounted mine with lifter plates then without which has completely different set of holes, so i've technically mounted twice but not my bindings broke so i'm wonderin if its ok to center mount them now.

mine pe's broke after a second mounting...gay

"Holy shit, did you see that tweaked out pencil! That was insane, that guy really knows how to rip."

the pe's broke second time? man... i wanted to center mount my pe's pretty quick here..hopefully they don't break.

Wait, if the binding is slipping why do you have to remount? If I understand you correctly, the binding is slipping on the track that controls the boot sole length/forward pressure. If this is the case, remounting isn't going to do shit for you, because your binding is haggard.

Fill me in if I'm wrong. I'd be happy to help.

He's saying his binding is screwed so he's going to have to put new ones on. If you get the same brand just screw them into the old holes with some wood glue. I did this on my 00/01 Skogens and have been using them for three years for park only and they've not ripped out. I'm pretty heavy and hard on my gear, so go for it. Remounting closer to centre is cool though, do that if you've got some cash to spare or if you get a different brand.

Actually, just take them to a shop and have someone check them out. It might be a small part that's broken - I have a broken track on my S900s replaced for free last year.

there axial 100's and i'd probably get the same so can i just take the tops off and put them on the same "tracks" so i dont need to "unmount" them from the ski?

Yeah, that's right. If a shop has the right spare parts (they should be able to order them in even if they don't), then they can just replace them without taking the main part of the heelpiece off the ski.

ya but I think you should be ok, im 5'11 and 180 so i'm pretty big. I wouldn't really worry about it because I was hopping fallen trees in the woods and landed on my tail.

Just another point to prove that screwing back into existing holes is fine to do: I was on a three day technician and bootfitting course run by the most experienced guys in the UK last week. I took my skis along to fix up while I was there and had to patch an area under the binding so I was told to take the binding off so that I could clamp it in the press then screw them back in with binding glue. He said it's done all the time so it's definitely not a big deal.

i have a pair of mike nicks in my basement there 4 years old n they have 37 drill holes in each ski n i rode them a lil this year n they work fine

^how many pairs of bindings did you mount????!!!!
